Nothing New is definitely my favorite and I’ve noticed a lot of women really gravitate towards the song because it’s about a fear I think most women have. It’s about loosing your shiny newness of being young because the world is cruel to aging women and it’s seen as a bad thing and the song just perfectly captures that fear :(

What fucks me over is that there are so many normal length songs that after a while (sometimes not even a long time after) just... bore me halfway through and I change it. I just don't see that happening with the 10min version. Every single lyric and melody is interesting and emotional. I've listened to it so many times now and I almost teared up. Listening to these songs again was such an overwhelming experience for me too, I completely understand how you started tearing up in the more "upbeat" songs. I was exactly like you, I didn't realize that the first song would hit me so hard but it really did. This album was such a big part of my life and growing up (I was 12/13 when it came out) and so hearing the songs again puts me right back into that time and the whole kalidiscope of emotions that came with it, with now the added extra eight years of experiences I've lived through since. It was overwhelming in every possible way to get to hear these songs with new life breathed into them

"I can exhale again" after ATW10 ends is SO relatable holy shit. Like you said, that song is so gripping (and your entire reaction vid is as well, btw!) One of my favorite lines in the extended ATW is actually a really simple one: "Just between us, I remember it all too well." Bc like. She's already said she remembers it, in front of the entire world, and then said it again and again, at concerts, at the Grammys, etc. She's always stated it like an obvious fact. But the original ATW was literally split in two, and edited to tell a cohesive story that wasn't *too* specific. Not *too* angry or vulnerable. It was made palatable. And at the end of the day, like Taylor's has said, songs are stories and you ultimately only show people what you want them to see. So hearing the "Just between us..." lines, after she's already confidently/publicly/repeatedly that same thing, almost verbatim for a whole ass decade, feels like this really intimate moment of confession (if that makes sense.) Anyway! I loved this song, and this album, and your reaction; thanks so much for taking us on this journey!

I was in a bad relationship with a man 10 years older than me, and he would always say things like I was getting older, or I was just young enough for him. Nothing New, The Moment I Knew and the 10 minute All Too Well really hits hard. The pain of being used and blamed by the user for the things he did, and the intensity of the love I had for him, despite all of that, Taylor made that into music and bless her for that

So Forever winter is actually about depression and mental health, she wrote it about one of her friends who in their twenties died to a drug OD. She was talking about how she didn't notice the signs of him being depressed and how she would be his "summer sun forever" and it would be "forever winter if you go" meaning she would be heartbroken if he died. He also died when they were both in their twenties, so when she says in the song "too young to know it gets better" that's why. I know a lot of people tend to right off this song the first time they hear it, like I did, but it's really emotional and a really good song!

That was enjoyable! I gotta say I love how much singing and belting songs there is to Red and in most vault tracks. We've missed that from Taylor.

I love listening to Taylor with you. It really feels like that in all your videos. I get chills from everything she writes. Over the past year and a half of my 60 years, I have a new favorite artist (TS, by far), favorite album (folklore) and favorite song (ATW TV 10 minute version). Been a magical time digging into everything Taylor since not paying attention at all for the most part of her career. New Swifties are so lucky we get to live it all with long-time Swifties, because we’re all experiencing the magic, old and new, for the first time, together.

That’s so interesting because I thought forever winter was about her trying to prevent her friend from committing suicide. I never saw it from the perspective you mentioned.

But it actually hints a lot to being about her friend

Whenever I watch these taylor swift videos of yours, I have a better appreciation and understanding of the genius of taylor swift. You make me patient and I actually give it time to sink in, and then I'm fully boppin and crying

I love this so much, it felt like a listening party with a friend who loves Taylor as much as I do 😭 Just a note on Holy Ground (also one of my all time faves!!!), I think in the context of the song it means "hallowed ground", or "sacred ground". So it's the rare song where Taylor looks back at a relationship that was really really fun and ended amicably (in the usual way). She's saying, that time we had together, that was a special place in our history, a space that I will keep hallowed in my mind (right there where we stood, that's now holy ground). Holy Ground walked so that Style, Happiness can run!

"Forever Winter" is such a fantastic commentary on the obvious signs of suicide. This song helped me gather the strength to seek actual help because I didn't want anyone to think about me the same way Taylor thinks about this person in the song. I never wanted to hurt anyone, and this song helped me see that I would hurt people doing what I wanted to do (I just couldn't put it into words or feelings until this song). This song literally saved my life, but I know that sounds too dramatic, so let's just say it helped me find my way.

Niamh! I absolutely love hearing you relate your personal experience to the songs you listen to. It just shows how universal Taylor's writing is! We are all able to relate what we have gone through to the songs. And that is why she's still around, and thriving, all these years 💗

Forever winter is most likely about a friend with mental health issues and how you just want to tell them the right thing to make them stop thinking about ending it all. 💔 this song makes me BAWL every time I listen.

when i was listening to the album, i was literally noticing the little details like the change in tone of the guitar, the way she sings like the "found" in ikywt differently, and even the tone of the drums 😭

"just between us, did the love affair maim you too" didn't think hearing this would tear me apart as much as did.... Cause like yea...been wanting to ask this to this one person for a long ass time... Now it's just making me realise that( even if it didn't) it doesn't change shit.

All too well made me cry because it was the closure we didn't even know we wanted as swifties. We it first came out and I Listened to it and cried because of how much I related to those lyrics. But the song became so much more than a song, it became the glue that held together all swifties. Taylor even said that she couldn't even sing the song because of how emotional it was, to now being the song she is more excited to sing because is a moment we (us and her) get to experience with her. So now everytime I listen to it I think about the Fandom and not who taylor wrote it in the first place
