when you first paused it, i thought u had recognized the beginning intro from a viral tiktok sound, lol. psycho is one of my faves from them, but RV has so many bangers it's hard to rank them. Red Velvet's latest song "cosmic" has a live band version performance that is elite. wendy in particular on the bridge part sounds like an angel. would love if you could react to it.

For red velvet, they're a group who can't be defined by one or two songs but after a while listening to them you will notice their color in the bigger picture so I hope even if one day you stumbled upon a song that's not really your taste you will keep diving into red velvet's discography especially the b-sides because they have the best one in kpop...also they're always serving great vocal so it might suit you 👍

Thank you for reacting to Red Velvet! They are known for their different concepts and diverse discography. Their “Red” side is more poppy, fresh, and bubbly. Their “Velvet” side is more mature sounding like R&B or ballads. They can also do mixtures of the two. Warning: some of their title tracks aren’t really easy listening for the general public, but that’s kind of their thing to try something new and be experimental. They also have some great gems in their b-sides too!

In case you didn’t know, Wendy is the blonde in this video (since you came via her duet with Jin.) I would love for you to react to their most recent song Cosmic and an older song Russian Roulette. By the way, Hyunjin from Stray Kids did a cover of Psycho with some other idols at an awards show. It’s iconic! I think you’d enjoy that a lot!

OMG this is the reaction I never knew I needed! My ult KPOP group being reacted to by my favorite indie rock frontman and favorite Earper, is this even real?! First off, I trust your ear because if you can create a song like Coat Of Arms and perform it with such passion you are qualified to react to an extraordinary group like Red Velvet! Red Velvet are underrated in KPOP despite having arguably the best vocals and harmonies among girl groups. The production and vocals mesh so well, the end product is just a masterpiece. Sometimes great music isn’t truly appreciated by the masses, so I’m thankful for knowing groups like Red Velvet and City of Sound. I hope you can listen to more Red Velvet, their styles change constantly and they aren’t bound by any one genre. Feel My Rhythm, Cosmic, Underwater (no MV but their should be a live stage) are a few songs to consider. Great reaction J, I look forward to more. Any upcoming tour dates?

their killing voice will take u into a lil deep dive in their songs. Its a live performance where they sang in acapella, but for the video the production adds the backtrack music so you could hear how it sounds in the studio version

I’m not a fan of kpop girl groups for the most part with a few exceptions-Red Velvet is one of them & this song is dope. They are very good live (when a LOT of girl groups lip sync way too much). A definite ear worm. Really looking forward to the new song.💜

Always nice to see musicians appreciating Red velvet's music bcoz I feel even though they have many people listening to them, it's not even close to what the bigger groups numbers are. They deserved so much in their 10 years of journey and I hope they keep reaching new people like you :) I love your song in the intro, so just went into the spotify, listened to your popular tracks and followed the 'City of Sound'

There's actually a video in a channel called reacttothek where classical musicians react to kpop. They did an interview with the producers and the 2 women who did the Topline for this song and some other of their title tracks. They talk about the process and stuff it's very interesting! Oh and also there are videos of them recording their songs so yeah you know it's them singing

Red Velvet is one of my top favorite girl groups! Like everyone else suggests, please check out their Dingo Killing Voice video; you'll get a sneak peek at their discography and see the different styles they excel in! If you want to check out other boy groups, I highly recommend EXO! They're in the same company as RV, and they have the R&B style down to a science lol. They are known for their insane vocals, and I think you'd really enjoy their music. Looking forward to future reactions!

Yep killing voice reaction please. They’re legit vocal queens for real and their discography is very diverse and they’re not afraid to experiment tbh. But just to let you know before hand they have 2 sides to them. The RED side and the VELVET side and sometimes BOTH. Hence their name RED VELVET. RED is more like their unique/quirky upbeat experimental pop/dance tracks. VELVET is more of their feminine, mature at times r&b/hip hop influenced tracks. Sometimes it can be ballads, midtempo/funk/retro tracks. BOTH aka RED & VELVET which is a mix of both sides.

Kind of like the City of Sound sound. You'd probably be very compatible with another band I like, Sunspot. Over 10 full albums and counting. They're based in the Midwest, hit SXSW every year, and have a Bandcamp page. They don't do many gigs these days, but it'd be a great playbill, the two of you together. Like CoS, Sunspot has a violinist, although that's her secondary instrument; Wendy is primarily the drummer.

red side: Dumb Dumb, Really Bad Boy (RBB), Umpah Umpah. velvet side (relatively few of these release as singles): automatic, Bad Boy (not to be confused with RBB), Milkshake (b-side). Also noteworthy: "One of these Nights", an elegy for victims of the Sewol Ferry tragedy and "Feel My Rhythm" which sample Beethoven's Air on a G String. Other groups lean into AI or cyber stuff, Red Velvet is the Wizarding World of KPOP, where the supernatural, magic, wonder, and horror lurks just around the corner. Every day for them can possibly become Halloween.

I'm here for Red Velvet. The killing voice is awesome, but their Cosmic ep is a treat as well. Find a way into their B-sides , albums, recommendations, tier lists, all of it is good if it is RV... okay Bing Bing, Future, Sunnyside Up, LaRouge. Those aren't the B-sides everyone else mentions first, but truth: Red Velvet is no skip.

if you love dark concepts you're gonna love Red Velvet even more with these songs : Chill kill(please check the whole album you're gonna love every song)/ Cosmic (inspired by the movie midsommmar) / Peek-A-Boo / Monster (IRENE&SEULGI)/ 28 Reasons by Seulgi (she is one of the members and "28 reasons" is her solo album. I also suggest you watch their Killing Voice video and if you want more slow velvety songs they also have Be Natural/Automatic/One of these nights there is another kpop group called EXO (boy group) who are known for their dark concept songs and they have this Supernatural storyline in their music videos that started since their debut song so here are some cool dark songs they have: MAMA/Wolf/Monster/Lotto/Obsession/ Tempo (not really a dark concept but you're gonna hear the craziest acapella here) and I also suggest you watch their Killing Voice because they are named The Vocal Kings in Kpop for a reason.

If you want a taste you'd probably like Bad Boy MV or maybe Cosmic MV if you like something strange, which it looks like you do. But I think the one would be Feel My Rhythm MV. It has classical influence but it's all over the place. That's the one. Then do Killing Voice they're legit. Be impressed. Gotta sub for more Red Velvet. Please!
