Oxblood collar is very versatile. You can wear with any collar jeans.

This is a borderline ASMR video, in a good way 😊. Your amber harness for the win, very nice collection. Can’t tell whether I love the oxbloods or not. They are unique in being both more dressy and more punk at the same time. Hope RW brings them back in the future as they are tempting. Cheers!

You can't really go wrong on either color. I would definitely consider a pair of Nicks if you have the budget. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Thanks for your comment man! Yeah, it's hard to ignore amber harness' cool battle scars. I always advice to potential IR owners, that when it doubt, go for the amber harness.

Congrats buddy. I’ve got a rotation of three boots but 1000 mile boots. The patina is looking good.

Thanks man! I actually bought the cordovan No.8, but returned them at Nordstrom due to sizing. Then decided to get another Red Wing instead. I will probably get the Evans boot in the future. What's your most favorite 1000 mile model/leather color?
@doug1863 жыл бұрын
@@grahamhere3790 I like the Rust color. It’s kind of a reddish brown. They look the most casual out of my boots.

@@doug186 Yeah, I could imagine that the reddish brown chromexcel will be a great color for casual attire.

Do you have any Red Wings in your collection? Do you believe the Thousand Mile boots are truly better than the Iron Rangers?
@doug1862 жыл бұрын
@@matttherrien9608 I tried them on and the leather is too hard. It would take a very long time for me to break them in as I work from home. I actually like the look of the Iron Ranger a little more. 1000 Miles have much less break-in time. I’ve been happy with them so far. The leather soles is terrible in the snow.

Black Harness Leather is the 8084
@grahamhere37903 жыл бұрын
You're right, but the 8114s are the OGs. They were the original Rangers, when Red Wing makes IRs with Nitrile cork soles.

Is it just me or does the black one look like it has a slimmer fit than the others?
@grahamhere37903 жыл бұрын
Fit wise, they all feel the same to me. So It might just be an optical illusion. Color black will often make you look slim anyway..
@migui88503 жыл бұрын
Nice trifecta you got going on here. My version of this trio varies in that I have a pair of 9011 Beckman’s for the Oxblood color way. 👍🏽 #winning
@grahamhere37903 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! You know I bought then returned the 9011 Beckmans due to sizing as Nordstrom didn't offer them in wide widths. They were just so stiff and harder to break in compared to the similarly lasted IRs and Blacksmiths. I do like the featherstone leather due to their shiny finish. But after about two weeks of wearing them inside the house, I gave up and exchanged them for a pair of 8119s.

What laces do you have in the 8111?
@grahamhere37903 жыл бұрын
I think they came from my Frye Dakota boots. You can get these leather laces at your local cobbler or shoe shop, that way you can choose your preferred length and thickness.
@boris43443 жыл бұрын
hello! couldn't you say, is that any difference in sizing between 9111 and 8111? thanx!
@grahamhere37903 жыл бұрын
Hey man, thanks for asking! They do have the same 8 last, so sizing should be the same. I found the 9111s to be easier to break-in, maybe because of the single layer of leather on the toe part, compared IRs (double layer) cap toe design.
