I'm gonna be that American but the Kickback 500 is based off of a Smith and Wesson 500, a 50 caliber bear killing revolver, so yeah it is practically a pocket cannon

The revolver is actually a .500 magnum, far bigger than a .357 magnum Python. That's why the cylinder holds only 5 rounds. If you want a Colt Python, use the Castigo .44 with the Ranged Barrel. It's the closest one so far.

I really don't understand why they didn't do the maintenance yesterday instead of the release date. I'm sure no one would have cared how long the servers were off yesterday but today when people are expecting to be able to log in and play the new content we've waited far too long for to then find out that they have to wait even longer and may not even get to play it tonight it is just unacceptable!!!

For example, Smith & Wesson makes the Model 360 with five, 686 with six, 686 Plus with seven and M&P R8 with eight. There's likely even smaller or larger handguns that hold more or less than that. Most really large calibre revolvers like those chambered for .500 Magnum tend to hold less rounds; a wider cartridge means that it's going to take up more cylinder space per round and it'll also need thicker steel to withstand the pressure of more gunpowder, and necessitate an overall lower capacity to keep the whole revolver to a managable size.

ok i see the Paid DLC, but where exactly is the update? what did they exactly update? we still have bugs from launch, the original heists still need a lot of work, the matchmaking and servers are horrible, the menus even worse, performance on pc is bad even on modern machines, they haven't done anything about the skills and balancing or even the stupid circles, spawn points are still hilariously bad, where are the challenges? what exactly did they update? if i wanna get some 5 ish hours out of this I'm gonna have to pay the dlc price....

Quick firearm info, automatic rifles use magazines witch can some in several sizes to fit the magazine well, revolvers have a cylinder that contains the ammo, witch can not be changed due the size of the rounds and dynamics of the barrel. :)

For the revolver you could add a speedloader to speed up the reload animation when you have it equiped.

I really hope they both keep up the work, for now Payday team seems a bit scared which is good! they should be cause it means they will take more care about their promises, pricing etc ! that's visible when you look at how powerful the new weapons are, LMG is a two shot headshot and gets 6 bullets into the mag with each kill with the right perks making you not reload for the rest of the game + all the other new weapons (not buleprints)

As a Resident Evil fan, it's nice to see the "Handcannon" (or "Elephant Killer") properly represented in Payday 3. As some guys already pointed out, it's based on Smith & Wesson M500. Five rounds are correct, the .500 S&W bullet is larger than other high caliber pistol bullets.

The magnum is based off of S&W’s 500. I’ve personally shot one multiple times as my father owns one. It holds five rounds due to the width of the bullets. (Even had it fire twice on me as the hammer cocked back mid recoil) You have to be careful in your grip as you can literally amputate your thumb from the gases the expel out of the chamber when firing. It was one of the only firearms that had the bullet created first, before the gun itself. It was almost illegal due to its caliber, it almost penetrates most ballistic armors (you get hit by that thing and the armor blocks it…you’ll probably wish you were dead.)

It's a solid update. Alot of good things. My only gripe is the renown progression being bugged into nonexistence? (The club, diamond, heart, spade concept) is no more? Been playing for hours since update and nothing has changed in that regard.

In Solo Mode, After one restart you get more favors, I restarted 5 times and got 4 favors. After replaying the hiest the favors keep going up. Restarting might not be the culprit but could be a cause for it to break. One person i was showing it to was getting multiple renown rewards but they were not leveling up renown

Love this DLC personally. I also noticed something that I didn't see in the patch notes (unless it's a glitch), but it seems that favours are no longer locked to campaigns. For example, I got a Boys in Blue favour for completing Road Rage. Not sure if it's an intentional addition or a glitch, but I honestly would wish they kept it that way, lockong certain favours to certain campaigns is extremely annoying.

I really don’t know why people have complained so much about no offline mode. When it was first out and servers down for days then fair enough but in general nothing to winge about. People act like they don’t have internet in 2024. Most games need internet to play these days so I dunno why people complain about payday

@@A6GYT always online means you fall victim to server instability if there's any issues (of which Payday 3 has had a tonne), it means you can't pause your games, it means if there's maintenance you can't play the game you paid for, and that if the servers ever get shut down, you can never play it again. Yes it's an issue for other games too but it's worse for a franchise when none of these things were an issue in the previous two titles
