The thought of fixing a dryer, much less thinking about what the inside of a dryer looks like, never crossed my mind until mine started making an insane grinding sound. I looked up to see it was most likely a bearing issue. I found this video and replaced the bearing all by myself after ordering the kit on amazon. Huge thank you to this kind man and his amazing instructions!

Today is September 20th 2024. I call multiple companies and they all wanted to charge me close to 100 to 150 just to evaluate the problem with their video. I was able to take it apart putting new belt drive and put it back together and save myself over $500 thank you so much for this wonderful video.

You are welcome. Dryer's are not rocket science, I'm glad this gave you the confidence to tackle it yourself!
This video was extremely helpful! Especially the tip to hold the bolts in place when replacing the back bearings. Thank you!

Great video!!!! I took mine apart to see if I could notice anything, didn’t see any visual problems. I put it back together…it slowly spins with nothing in it, but when I put even a tiny amount of stuff in, it doesn’t spin. What do you think would be the cause of that?
@RedBarnHomestead3 ай бұрын
That is very likely a drum belt issue. Now what, is hard. Is the belt tensioner tight enough and the spring connected? Is the belt worn? Does the motor pulley slip?

Do you by chance have a link for the replacement parts?

It’s usually best to search what you want and your model number for the most accurate results.

To be honest, we lose ours about every 1.5 years. Not great.

Thanks for the very helpful video, I’m gonna give it a whirl. However, Why can’t anything just last? You know like it used to, you buy a washer and dryer and it lasted for 15-20 years until you”upgraded” for this Chinese junk. I wish I could find an all mechanical washer without a digital board. Closest thing is speed queen tc5 same with dryer. I will never buy another Samsung.

Oh, we are with you on Samsung. Our washer machine rotted out on us, we did some digging and replaced it with an LG and fingers crossed should do better. Our Bosch dishwasher is the best dishwasher I have ever owned. It’s amazing.

@@RedBarnHomestead we own a Bosch and it’s been thru thick and thin with zero issues and with silence. We love our Bosch dishwasher.
