Have the same Cart built about 3 years ago with a trx 250 shaft drive , 12 inch wheels , runs around 60mph 😁

@@chrisd5383 used a 1995 Honda TRX shaft drive , the 250 TRX has reverse with semi automatic shifting works great and use a no rev limit CDI, and 4-in wheel spacers on the rear wheels 2 in spacer on the front wheels , the wheels were from Amazon 4.11 bolt spacing.

@@SirTrueblood1 thanks! I have a 2002 trx250 and I love it. I figured with a geared transmission it would work out great in my go kart . How did you rig up the shifter? I’m also debating about using a Honda rancher engine with electronic shift.

Would like to see a 440 on the bayou, love your builds!!! Just a tidbit, I'm a huge atv enthusiast I don't believe the bayou came out until 1988, suzuki was first on four wheels with the 1984 125c c model. Just thought it might be helpful, you guys are awesome thank you!!!

A friend of mine had one of these in high school and it would outrun my Fourtrax 300 (Utility) without an issue. Mine was new and his 220 was well used. They are peppy little engines for sure.

I Say Yes by the conversion for the 4-wheeler them four wheelers are pretty good I had a Kawasaki Bayou 250 when I was a kid I actually miss it had to leave it behind didn't have any way to bring it to new place

The plastic cap held on by two Phillips screws below oil fill is clutch adjustment. That will help shifting. 1988 is first year of 220 bayou.

Idk if you have any experience with the bayou 220 but it's the most bulletproof quad motor there is and I'll argue that till the day I die lol. I've had one my whole life it's a 99 model same age as me lol I rode the pee water out of it and it's been sitting for a couple year bc i dont have time to ride it but I can literally go pull it rn and itll start no problem. Never rebuild opened up nothing and still run like a top just burns a little oil now lol. Also never changed or added rear end fluid to it either it's a little dry but doesn't make any noise and still rides great lol. Everything about the cheapy bayou is great besides the kingpin bushings😂

Hi I got a question to all the pros, I have a solid swingarm set up on my kinroad 250 buggy and I was going to weld the engine on to the subframe instead of building tabs from the main frame is this a bad idea?

The first Kawasaki 4 wheeler was made in 1985 not in 1980 unless you meant it was made in the 80's. Cause i have a Yamaha moto 4 thats a 85 model and apparently in 85 is when most all 4 wheelers where created with the very first being the Suzuki quadrunner LT125 in 1982. Just for History purposes lol

Why not just cut the front of the quad off and use the frame from the engine back? Add reinforcement and extend cables/wiring.

You need a Kawasaki kfx 700 from 4 wheeler it an auto trans power band is insain im 350 and it halls the grits fine but in a cart oh snap that thing will do 100 easy

I think it's a nice one, but do beef up whatever connection will run the rears to the axle. That chassis looks like it's made from toilet paper cardboard and newspaper clippings. Just my 2 cents as usual. :)
