Wow John, look at all the colors in that vase. Great job and the vase is beautiful. The balloon was just the trick. I will be using that in the future. Redbud is a very fast growing tree here in North Georgia so I can always get you more if you would like. That tree was only about ten years old. My wife did not like it throwing its leaves into the pool. LOL. Hey it really makes great looking pens also. Thanks John for sharing this project.

Loved the vase. Mike Waldt suggested your videos. I thought I would try one and boy I am glad I did! I use blue tape when mixing epoxy and it saves my board. I learned a lot.

I noticed the little airplane in the background. I'm guessing a gift to a grandchild. (Great idea with the HD brass!)

+Dave Harrington - Ha! good eyes and good guess. Yes, made that for Charlie my now 6 year old grandson. His brother 2 year old Jack enjoys it now. It can be peddled and when it is the prop rotates. Now we have a 2 month old granddaughter so will have to come up with something pink i guess.

I have two daughters ages 45 and 40 one grandson who is 22. We used to live in the mountains of North Carolina and I had a small shop with a lathe. At that time my oldest was 12 and she had an interest in learning the lathe and I helped her through making a couple of candle holders and she still talks about it.

Great idea! I had not heard of that process so googled it. Very nice detail and philosophy. I get my brass free at the key machine at Home Depot. I am looking for the same price on gold! :) thanks for your comment and for watching.
