Red Planet is barely an entertaining trashy sci-fi flick. It's saving grace is the song used in this scene. Awesome.

It’s good in the same way that The Core is good. It’s an entertaining movie, but scientifically nonsensical for the most part (less so than The Core).

Arguably it is a better film than Mission to Mars that came out the same time.

I really enjoyed this movie. Sure it had it's bad parts but every movie did. One thing I loved was AMEE, a very well designed multipurpose robot. To me - that made the movie.

Thanks for this. Red Planet has many nice aspects, this dramatic ending is the best! (The Russian-themed music is obviously in honor of Russian space technology & the engineer turned NY deli owner relied on for critical info on the abandoned rock sample escape pod.)

Man, I thought my suspension of disbelief was bad. The helmet would be ideal if it were transparent only to visible wavelengths of light and kept everything else out. This isn't actually difficult to do, a lot of materials we use every day have this kind of attribute, and the lens in your eye has it too (it filters out UV, despite the fact that you or I would be able to see UV as another color without that filter).

Best ending music sequence ever!!! The love! The dramatic catch in space, and of course.. the kiss. BUT!!! WHERE'S THE SOUND?? Good job though.. I had it cranked on my new Samsung sound bar and it was soft. Anyone know how to crank it up? This movie was great but the soundtrack was amazing and all went unnoticed.

I saw this with a girl I was dating, and she couldn't stop laughing at how "girly" the lady's spacesuit is. It has a little armored sports bra. LOL
@Extreme96PL Жыл бұрын
Doesn't it make sense to have a comfortable suit for women? This is not medieval battle armor where every bulge would provide an advantage to the enemy.

Like the scene in Mission to Mars when Tim Robbins' dies. Terri Fisher's character comes up just-short of being able to save him and he commits suicide rather than have her kill herself trying to save him.
