Cool! Couldnt you just use a PhysX Collision Operator inside Event 001 to let the stairs/walls interact with the grenade instead of creating a completely separate event for them?
@RedefineFX5 жыл бұрын
probably yeah, I just like to separate things when possible - makes it easier to problem solve

i can not drag by physx switch "dynamic sleep" ... help!
@RedefineFX4 жыл бұрын
it doesn't work for anyone. You need to make it kinematic and the re-activate it again with a condition operator. This technique is covered in several of my tyflow tuts.

Great tutorial, one question, I've been having this "problem" with phoenix FD and FumeFX, how do I avoid getting pixelated smoke? I increase the gird resolution but still get smoke with jagged edges, especially near the object where it interacts.

Thanks for this Jesses Phoenix smoke is really cool. I have a question I followed along and I found I just couldn't get the can to bounce down the stairs. So I downloaded your scene file (thanks) and without touching anything the can in the file still doesn't bounce down the stairs even changing the PhysX setting doesn't help do you have any ideas? I have 2080 CUDA capable card.
@RedefineFX4 жыл бұрын
let me check the file
@RedefineFX4 жыл бұрын
it's working for me. Make sure you're in newest version tyflow and increase the speed of the can - that's about all I can think of right now
@Anthonyyg4 жыл бұрын
@@RedefineFX Thanks Jesse I have reinstalled Tyflow and the CUDA files its still not the same as your baked can. However dropping the time step to 1/2 and the Pos & Vel iterations to 1 have got me much closer.

@RafiNori915 жыл бұрын
Hey Jesse! I was just wondering what your thoughts are on this, I don't know much about 3DS max or Maya, but I am interested in learning VFX and Motion Graphics, so I am leaning more towards learning Maya. But once I understand how to use Maya, will it be possible to follow your tutorials based on Phoenix FD while using Maya? Thank you Jesse!
@RedefineFX5 жыл бұрын
Hi Rafi, yes, majority of the settings are the same in the maya version of Phoenix.
