Brooo I just got an idea that I think would have been cool in windblume When joining the game you will become a randomized character (instead of whatever character you were using before you joined the game) Each character has a different ability/bonus they can do Like, say the hunter was getting close to you. One characters ability could be to make another object move. Then, it's likely the hunter will pass you and go to the object they saw move.

by the time her puppet explodes, the enemies are already dead/ran away. if they just slightly modified her puppet to be similar to keqing where 1st tap places the skill and 2nd tap detonates the puppet, it would make such a difference

i think with the starter characters, mihoyo is trying to introduce new players to some key mechanics in genshin, such as the taunt (which is a common skill with other characters), so it would make sense to make the starter characters’ kits very simple. thus why it would be great if they also introduced things such as the two tap i said above or starting with 2 charges for baron bunny

@@-Maruku- Lisa main here, to answer something you haven't even asked lmao. Basically her tap E deals a certain amount of damage to a single target and applies one stack of her conduct, which increases the damage dealt by her hold E. Doesn't give any energy though. Tbh, it might seem stupid since her charged attack can do the same thing and to more than one enemy to boot, but her tap E is actually really useful when fighting huge mobs since her conduct can jump between enemies. And at C1, I believe it does generate energy, too (idk, but ult has been charging faster since I got it, despite how the description says it only works for hold E)

I play her sometimes, because she is an archer pyro character. Because of the pyro I got resonance, because of her being an archer I can shoot weakspots. Is she good? No, but she is useful against cryo abyss mages and Cryo Fatui. Also she can be good for igniting an enemy for using the VV artifact set. For example I like to pair her with Xingqiu, Sucrose and Hu Tao. The sad thing is that I barely use her kit, because it's a waste of time. When I can get 30k plus a mark through a Hu Tao charged attack or use an Amber ability the choice is pretty obvious. Unless there is a cryo shield or a big group of enemies where Baron Bunny can actually be somewhat useful her uptime is rather low.

Something about the fact that amber’s play style being clunky kinda makes sense for the character. She didn’t fight in any war like ganyu, instead she’s just an outsider clearing up smaller issues and helping around mondstat. Still I do wish that her and the original f2p characters got more love

Imagine Amber, depressed and frustrated of the way she's created. She's sick of being way out of league of other characters and thus decided to go through a training arc. She train herself to be more proficient with the bows, increasing the number of arrows shot in her ult, increasing the duration and the range. She then asks Klee for help on improving Baron Bunny, allowing her to remotely detonate and provide buffs to her or debuff to the enemy/cause burn to any surface for a couple second (Greek Fire style). This can be done in a permanent event or quest of some sorts or they can put it in the manga, providing in-world reason for her buff. This improves Mihoyo's reputation, proving that they care about the fans, which in turn improves their sales, I'm sure of it. (Also Baron Bunny damage can be scaled by Amber's crit rate/crit dmg/elemental mastery/atk and NOT Hp)

I've thought about it while playing and I came to the theory that Amber was designed for exploration and not combat. Her passive reduces gliding energy, Baron Bunny can be used as a weight and mine ore, she lights torches which are used in a variety of puzzles, she can burn, blow up, and melt anything in the way of a chest, plus as a bow she easily takes care of that balloon plant. She is a handy utility if you are just hanging out in the wild, or exploring new places.

Here are some ideas that I believe would give her some viability. Explosive Puppet (Elemental Skill): Amber throws her Baron Bunny in a ball of fire, dealing AoE Pyro DMG. This will give Amber elemental particles. This skill has 2 charges initially. Hold the skill for better positioning, similar to holding Geo Traveler's Elemental Skill, Starfell Sword. Baron Bunny: Baron Bunny will taunt enemies around it, with its HP scales with Amber's max HP. When hit, Baron Bunny will have a hit animation instead of being knocked back. When destroyed, Baron Bunny will explode, dealing AoE Pyro DMG. Fiery Rain (Elemental Burst): Amber shoots a barrage of arrows to the sky above her, resulting a shower of fiery arrows in a bigger area than before around her for 2 seconds, dealing continuous AoE Pyro DMG. After the rain stops, the burning arrows on the ground will deal smaller AoE Pyro DMG over time for 8 seconds. CD: 12 s C2: Baron Bunny can be detonated manually by shooting it anywhere with a fully-charged Aimed Shot, dealing 200% additional DMG. Can also be detonated by Fiery Rain arrows. Edit: Mechanic Tweak: Amber's Charged Shot charging speed is increased by 25%.

Craftable elemental Baron bunny s are also nice idea. each Baron bunny hass different elements in them and different effects when they explode. Animo Baron bunny- creates a whirlwind along with Pyro effect creates a burning tornado. Electro Baron bunny makes an overload effect and a wider explosive range. It's not that Amber isn't useful, but the bunny explosion AoE is too small and that is why it only deals damage around 50% of the time, and her fire rain is too short to pull off multiple elemental reactions. Other characters are way more efficient at clearing enemies fast compared to Amber.

The only time Harp is better is if you are against a boss and need more crit rate since they don't have a weakpoint for some reason (seriously if bosses had weakpoints it would be a major buff to Amber more-so than any other bow user).

Sharpshooter oath, Kaeya for cryo reaction and she easily would be making more damage to the bosses than any other of the early game characters, plus you wouldn't need to build crit rate, so you could just focus on crit damage and atk, making her very useful when you don't have artifcts.

I'm just happy that people are starting to notice starter characters more. Especially Kaeya since he's one of my favorite characters from the entire game. He's so fun to play and does amazing damage. Works great both as a dps and support, self heals, has the best base attack multipliers and his E cool down and energy recharge go brrrrr. I'm happy I invested in him. I hope people will be able to see that starter characters aren't trash. They're all very good if you build them right. It's just up to playstyle preferences. I made a second acc on which I use amber so much and it is very fun. She doesn't fit my main account teams but she's perfect for my second account team. So don't think that free=bad guys. It's actually quite the opposite of bad. It's amazing

I don't think free characters are bad per say. But I hate it when I have to invest more on them compared to other characters. I used to be an Amber main. But man, after I got Diluc, I really didn't have to invest on him that much, and he still packs a punch. He's a lot easier to play too. Free characters are not bad, but there are better characters out there.Though, I rather play characters that are just better and make my runs easier, it's just me. There are people who will obviously still play their favorite characters even if they find it hard to play with. Even though I don't use all of the free characters that much. I've made their character/bond exp to level 10, Lisa, Amber and Kaeya. It's because I like them as a character!

I feel like the design intent with amber is clear: second character introduced to new players, used to showcase basic mechanics (aimed shot and teddy bear). Shes not supposed to be taken into endgame, shes designed to help your first team by: - providing range (some puzzles would be impossible untill you get lucky on character cards, liza cant shoot straight up) - making sure you have a pyro - usefull for gliding - gives you a 'taunt' Shes just there to make sure you can learn/get through the early game. The design intent is clearly for her to replaced/shoved into your exploration team the second you get any other pyro.

I was never able to put this stuff into words so I am super thankful for this. I actually liked playing Amber in the beginning of the game, it was awesome to learn how to shoot and use her ult with my Lumine. But I was never able to put my finger on why her E seemed so useless or why her Q seemed to be so weak. Since they are popping off A LOT of characters, they could reward you a Starter constellation at the end of the battle pass for example. I know It seems pretty a lot, but since they have such a low chance, this will fix the problem and give even to F2P players a valuable Cryo/Electro/"Pyro" character.

Chongyun is very good but he is missing good teammates for now. If we get a melee 5* cryo dps that can't convert their own auto attacks to cryo then chongyun will rise sky high in peoples opinions. His best options right now are Kaeya and Keqing with kaeya being not comparable to 5*s and Keqing having a better time going physical. Maybe Eula will have a good cryo build but she also seems very pushed towards physical.

Hey, I play amber and about her elemental burst: I can confirm that It doesn’t necessarily always rain down in front of amber. You can actually create some distance between yourself and the enemy and it will still hit the enemy. You just have to make sure not to be too far away from it. Basically you’ve got to use the bunny in order to make sure that the enemy stays in the fiery rain special’s range! (Just a tip). Aside from that I do think it’s a shame that amber, kaeya and Lisa have not been featured on any banners yet. Frankly it makes me think they’re rarer than a five star.

C4 should be default, while making the _actual_ C4 have 3 charges. Thus this would solidify Amber as a great option for a taunt support if you have squishy carries like Hu Tao at 1 HP. Then there's also having the bunnies run at the enemies at the end of the duration to actually explode on them, plus it'd be cute. Finally, maybe her ult should just be completely revamped, even tweaking it in ways would possibly make it more useful, but I still don't think it fits into the mechanics that Amber wants. Maybe it could be a form change like "Outrider mode", Amber puts on her goggles, her move speed and jump height are increased, and her charged attack speed is doubled, overall making her carry bow playstyle a different flavor from others.

Characters have different multiplier and animation speeds on their autos, but charge shots are all 124% at Talent Level 1 for some reason. As the first bow user, I'm surprised Amber doesn't have a slightly faster charge rate or flight speed on her arrows to make her easier for new players to use. Like if Amber had something like Diona's C3 (reduced charge time) on switch in for 6 seconds or as long as a Bunny is on the field.

Klee’s mom took inspiration from ambers baron bunny to make Klee’s bombs, and ambers baron bunny is actually pretty op but not in game, they nerfed her to the ground in game but she is op in the manga, and what you said would be unfitting

despite all the downsides of her kit, she has this charm that makes me choose her over ganyu/childe or other bow users. she really needs some serious work. Mihoyo read my lips, i am not buying anymore of ur bp, welkins or spending thousands on tops up until she gets resolved! ive spent enough for her to C4. Save Amber!

Personally, I really like to play Amber she helped me pass through some roadblocks on story mode before I realized that I was severely under level for the rank of the world. But I get what you´re saying, I wish that the burst would be easier to lock on, maybe it could lock on the last target shot or something like that and make BB deployment more controllable, maybe by linking it to the mouse wheel so you can deploy it to max range faster with more accuracy. great video!

I'm not amber main, but I love her, leveled her and built her to be competent. All I thought after playing a long time with her was "amber needs a buff to be useful and competent without her constellations"

Imo amber isn’t BAD, it’s just that a lot of other characters just does what she does better

here are a list of changes I suggest, some of which are just wishful thinking -baron bunny draws aggro from *all enemies targeting amber at time of casting* while it’s on field. replace ability to get yeeted with a moderate stagger effect (e.g. if it’s hit it will get knocked back a bit, but won’t be yeeted into oblivion) can be manually detonated by pressing the skill while baron bunny is on field(someone below suggested this and I thought it was really good). -amber’s ult is now a cluster of flaming arrows that deals what is essentially, one hit of aoe splash damage. even if the targeting is still bad now it can melt and vaporise better so she has a fighting chance. -after using baron bunny, amber gains a damage increase for 10 seconds (to replace the manual detonate constellation maybe)

5:05 I very much agree with this, I was thinking of the following: What if you could not get starter character constellations at all from wishes... But you could get said constellations from increasing Adventure Rank, starting from AR6? Amber at 6, Kaeya at 8, Lisa at 10, etc., basically a Starter Character constellation every 2 Adventure Rank, from AR6 to AR40
