That "floating guitar" you saw was on a stand that Alex had invented and patented so he could easily switch between his electric and acoustic guitars when a song required it. Y'all have a great evening, eh? 🎤 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎸 🐐 🐐 🐐

The back story on the Dino’s is that Alex’s grandkids were all into dinosaurs so he wanted to honor them at the shows. The bands instrument techs would also find some and add to the collection. There is always something to add to their stage setups and I personally find it pretty cool that they took it to such great lengths.

Remarkable that this song was released in 1980 (from Permanent Waves) and the only time this song was aired live was in 2007 on this tour and only for the first leg. I'm not ashamed to say that when they played this for the show I was at, I got a little emotional. It meant that much to me growing up. And still does. Good music does.

Entres Nous: (French ɑ̃trə nu ) adverb. between ourselves; in confidence. Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins) once told the story about how he performed this song for his parents when he was a teenager. He would also cite this song as his 'lyrical awakening', musically. This song is among the top 'deep cuts' with lifelong fans. Great reaction reighbor! (And cool dinosaur collection.) :)

The lyrics to Entre Nous are a little tough decipher in general and especially the live version...so I've attached a different version someone else put together that has the lyrics, just for your enjoyment and total understanding of the song. When I was a young 21 years old I had a secret love affair with my owner-bosses daughter who I worked with. She was the one I wanted to marry. She was my Princess! It was secret because he was a colonel in the marines and wanted his daughter to marry a marine. She knew he'd never approve of me even though he loved that I worked for him. This secret lasted two years and the anguish was more than I could endure. One day I told her I was leaving the company and she either stood up to her father or we needed to end "us". Long story short, she was too afraid to stand up to him. Then the day came and I approached her. She stood in front of me face to face while she cried uncontrollably. I left her a copy of Entre Nous then I turned around and walked away and left her there sobbing. That was my last image of her. It's 45 years later now and that was my last image of her. We vanished from each other's lives...just like that.

Sorry, don't want to be picky, but in this case it's still a 6 string guitar. If standard tuning is used only E-string and A-string got their pairs, D-string and G-string doesn't and B-string and high E-string are msissing. Sorry, apologizes!

We are secrets to each other Each one’s life a novel No-one else has read Even joined in bonds of love We’re linked to one another By such slender threads We are planets to each other Drifting in our orbits To a brief eclipse Each of us a world apart Alone and yet together Like two passing ships Just between us I think it’s time for us to recognize The differences we sometimes fear to show Just between us I think it’s time for us to realize The spaces in between Leave room for you and I to grow We are strangers to each other Full of sliding panels An illusion show Acting well-rehearsed routines Or playing from the heart? It’s hard for one to know We are islands to each other Building hopeful bridges On a troubled sea Some are burned or swept away Some we would not choose But we’re not always free

Those Gracie stands (the "ghost guitar" stand) Are a lot trickier to use than they look. When playing acoustic guitar, especially, I really need to feel the vibrations in my chest in order to fully connect with the part that I'm playing. Unfortunately, that puts weight on the guitar, which will force the guitar to break free from the clamps holding it in place. Found that out the hard way when it fell from the stand when I couldn't get the attention of a friend of the band (who was acting as tech to get in on our tab) striking a monitor and cracking the finish on the top of my 7-string acoustic. He was distracted due to chatting up a rather attractive woman at the bar, unsuccessfully thus making it even more disastrous. If they had fully hit it off and got married, maybe then the damage done wouldn't have been in vain. But alas, lessons learned.

Good evening RHN. I need to start with an admission: I usually only watch your Rush reactions. And I love your fish. Anyway, I offer you a very interesting video to review. As you probably know, Rush did a lot of work at LeStudio in Quebec Canada, as did many other famous bands. The facility has unfortunately been for many years closed, abandoned, and vandalized since. In this video, a fellow Rush fan and drummer packed all his gear through the woods of Quebec and set up inside the derelict room exactly where Neil and many others set up their kit, and covers a Rush song PERFECTLY. You need to watch. It’s only 5-6 minutes long kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHilkIyCr7epptEsi=PXKqorxx3nyC0kKk

Without checking comments, in almost all of their giving thanks to liner notes on the albums they give thanks to “The Omega Concern” which is a patented invention by Mr. Alex Lifeson in the form of his guitar stand because in the earlier EARLY years he required a acoustic guitar frequently like that transition from electric to acoustic guitar during the song so BAM! HE invented what he needed to be the supreme guitarist he is🎸🎸🎸🖖✌️🤘
