The commentary in the description under this video is total bullshit. Because no one's mocking the song until Paul does at the end when they're jamming electric. Which I highly doubt was done while George was there. Paul probably did that on one of the days George stormed out. And the conversation about "getting to bed" didn't even involve Paul or John, and us clearly being taken out of context by the poster of this video. It was Ringo talking to one of the film directors. Cause the other voice speaking is most definitely NOT one of the Beatles first off. This was such a good tune and most definitely more enjoyable than idiotic "Dig It" that somehow God knows why made it on to the final track listing of Let It Be.

@kilgoretrout3214 жыл бұрын
The lyrics just seem half finished. The guitar is lovely, coming from a lead guitar player who is writing his own song. The band's reaction speaks to their (at that point) pathological need to put George in his place. Unfortunately, George needed to stand up for himself but was running out of ways to do so. Paul and John's broken leadership was deconstructing the band, likely leaving George in the spot of a proxy. And the band's roles were shifting as each fleshed out their abilities. Paul was developing into a competent lead player while John was quite comfortable with his own patented messy lead style (see his contributions to The End's famous solo), so I'm sure there was a subtext of "we don't need you, George." All they really should have done was encourage George. The benefits were numerous, mainly being that they could leave their weakest stuff off the album. Then there would be the element of distraction--teaching George their songwriting tricks (and helping him pen four of five lovely songs in the process) would give them something to do other than tear each other down. Finally, helping George would've taken the load off the other two, allowing the group to produce high-quality Beatles while essentially cruising. Collectively, they had enough great material for three-four classic Beatles albums from solo stuff alone. Plus if you factor in an additional couple tracks per album created through working together in the moment... But it probably worked out the only way it could have. They wanted to be free of the Beatles before it consumed the next phase of their lives. All three of them essentially "dried out" after two or three really good albums, and then it was inconsistent work from there. If John hadn't been killed, perhaps they try working together a bit in the 80s and reenergize. At that point, George could be much closer to equal footing with the other two...would've been fun to hear! But it would've taken a real commitment to see it through, and John hated the pressure of being a Beatle, with George not far behind. --an excerpt from The Long-Winded Road, an unlicensed biography culled from Wikipedia and the uninformed imagination of a millennial.

Maybe the lyrics are lame, but it's a nice tune.

That's incredible!!! Exept for one or two I can,'t stand listening to a whole Paul's album. Lots of boring and stupid songs. He's always rewriting history and putting the blame for the splitting up of the Beatles alwsys on John and George and Ringo. Quote " I was the last to leave the band" end quote. He never realizes how his behaviour affected the others. George never planned to produce a record or do a concert outside the group while all the others were doing so, Ringo included. George was BASIC for the group but the others realized that when he left and when he refised a Reunion in all his interviews. It's sad to listen to such a mockery!!!
