Every time I rewatch this episode, it amazes me that no one caught the best part of GETEVEN. In the honeymoon scene after the protagonist and Cindy get married, as the protagonist and his playmate are making out, some random guy reaches in from beside the bed to steal their champagne. They're drinking champagne in bed, and John DeHart reaches over "off-screen" to put his glass "on the nightstand." The cameraman was apparently confused, and pans slightly to follow the glass, so you can plainly see when a stagehand reaches in from off-screen and takes the glass from DeHart because there was no nightstand there.

I know this comment is old but Mark just did a video on this movie on his channel Fanboy Flicks. He shows that scene and it’s hilarious. There is a nightstand but it’s a little too far away. This IMDB review for GetEven totally doesn't sound faked at all: "I have been and am a mainstream Film Editor since 1985. I've worked on many successful projects, for example: "Magnum P I", "D C Cop" and "Simon And Simon". The list goes on. I've viewed this Film ROAD TO REVENGE" more than once. Each time has been better. JOHN DE HART, WINGS HAUSER and WILLIAM SMITH give magnificent performances. The message is 'Good Over Evil' and it is delivered in Surrealistic Style. This is a 'Stand Up' Film that is character driven, with substance and good continuity. The Movie is worth seeing over and over. You'll com away with something new each time!!! I am only one of many that really appreciate the work. If you check the Ratings Votes, you'll find that every Lady that Voted, gave the Movie a "10" for excellent. I happen to be a man, but I strenuously concur with all of those Lady Voters..."
@TheThelaughingboy8 жыл бұрын
And here's the other one: "John De Hart, Wings Hauser, William Smith And Pamela Bryant are brilliant in their portrayals. John De Hart has become my favorite Actor and this is truly my favorite movie of all time! The action is superb. The relationships are real as is the romance. The funny parts are really funny, the one-liners are great and there are many memorable, meaningful and right-on messages about the corruption inherent in bureaucracy... The movie is thrilling! To paraphrase an eminent movie critic: Everything that is good about action movies has been mirrored here and amped to the next level. Remember how you always wished that Jean-Claude Van Damme would have sung multiple songs in his movies? This movie is the fulfillment of that wish! One more thing you should know: Every female that has viewed this film and voted on this cite has rated the film a '10'. Don't miss it."

Why would John De Hart pose as someone else, and to be somewhat specific, yet also seemingly random? Did he really like the 2 series and that TV movie? So...weird!!! But, for giggles, let's have fun investigating who he's trying to pose as. Is that a tad creepy? Anyway, of all the editors that have Simon & Simon and Magnum PI in common, I found 5. IMDB doesn't have much crew listed for D C Cop, which is VERY convenient. Since he's posing as a man in the review copied in the OP, that rules out Francine Fleishman. He's just soooo MANLY he can't pretend to be a woman in the IMDB comments. Awww! Down to 4!!! I'd also rule out Ron Rutberg, Albert J.J. Zuniga, and Ed Guidotti because why wouldn't he flaunt all his totally awesome, mega cool work (Quantum Leap, Knight Rider; A-Team, Night Gallery; Murder She Wrote), or just become too specific with a more recognizable name? Down to 1! That leaves... Stephen R. Pfahler. But he also worked on Superminds: Misfits of Science and Riptide. These seem less known, or at least I haven't heard of them. Though, I suppose a very proud editor would still flaunt these. Hmmm... Shoulda just claimed he was a woman. Francine Fleishman is really looking like the better option since she has the fewest editing credits of the 5. Also, who wouldn't want a last name that roughly translates into "Flesh man"? Missed opportunity! Poorly played! No gold stars for John De Hart.
