I was so happy when Starro was revealed, I never thought a DC film would do it because it’s so out there, so when I saw hints of it in the trailer I was pretty hyped to see the film. This is how you do a suicide squad film, it did what it needed to do.

Regarding the opening slaughter and nerds potentially being angry about it, every single one of those characters is real and, as someone who spent the entire lead-up to this movie super excited for TDK because I've wanted to see that character in anything for years, I was howling with laughter watching the entire distraction squad die instantly.

It was obvious they weren't gonna kill off Harley Quinn so early on, but I was pretty shocked they just murdered Captain Boomerang, whom the viewers had potentially just spent a whole movie with xD That whole massacre felt like a slight at the movie before, aswell as being a funny twist.

Watched 'The Suicide Squad' and had a great time. Full disclosure I like James Gunn's work and like the bloody action combined with dark humor. If you like that you'll have a great time. Outside that the plot stuck together (you can nit pick some mistakes), the bad guys turned heroes works very well. I love Blood Sport arguing with his daughter that he never claims to care about, but you know he cares by his actions. I love at the end how the remaining team members are ready to leave and you just hear the screams of the townspeople in the background which tugs at their humanity. Too good. Also I like how they killed Rick Flag showing him to be the all around good guy hero while showing how Peacemaker is a true villain despite all of his hero talk. Too good. Not the greatest movie ever, but damn good fun!

Its to attain that comic feels. You know that comics used panels right. And there is no inbetween between panels. Its just one moment you saw the superhero preparing to punch a guy from the pov of the guy about to get punched and the next panel you saw the guy getting punched from the side and you saw his teeth flying. Yeah its to achieve that sensation. Comic panels.

18:00 its not that the gender swap was an issue, its that they pulled a Wolverine Origins Deadpool on Taskmaster. A funny, intelligent character that is hyper competent and has actually thrown down his weapons and said "I'm not paid enough for this, the bad guy is up on the 12th floor. The elevator is rigged with explosives so use the stairs I guess... Bye" and walked off because the full Avengers stroll into a build looking for a fight. Guy made his living by TRAINING mooks and henchmen of other villains on how to fight the heroes they bumped into the most. Then they figuratively sowed his mouth shut just like with Deadpool.
@keeleon2 жыл бұрын

@@star88wars Sounds like some one who doesn't know fuck all about Taskmaster. His personality is a professional with a line, he isn't a super serious person despite being a experienced killer that can, if he wants to, fight the most dangerous heros in his world and come out on top when it comes to life or death, and he actually does respect the heros he fights and knows when not to pick a fight. He is a more interesting villain then 90% of the villains used in Marvel movies and has had great story lines, despite being a villain he could easily be the main character of his own film. Hell, if Disney didn't decide to waste him like they do all of their villains, I could easily see him not just appearing in the Dead Pool movies, but as a main character since he is a pretty big foil to Dead Pool in comics when they face each other since he's the only person he can't copy the movements of. Lastly this is a comment on a review about Sucide Squad, a movie that took characters that ACTUALLY didn't matter in their comics and adapted them into great likeable characters.

@@rikowolfin4984 Yeah I dont know anything about that dude, his design is so generic that i never actually investigated how fanfuckingtastic he is in the comics. So yeah i dont care who he is. They didnt adapted them straight from the comics, they changed everything about them to fit it in with the tone and the themes of the movies. Same thing with taskmaster. The angsty grimdark nonsense is kind of modern DC's jam, though. I kept hearing that the animated movies are better, so I watched Flashpoint, and it's like some neckbeard wanted to out-angst Snyder himself.
