I'm not so sure he understands who Queen Elizebeth was or still is to us..she dedicated her whole life to us from age 16 and her first broadcast...was in the army..a mechanic and driver. Above all a great stateswoman and stability in world forever Changing. The 2 most moving things after she died were people queuing for ages in the cold to pay their respects each bowing their head for a few seconds. And the lone Scottish piper who played the bagpipes every morning playing for her one last time as he walked away I cried my eyes out.. Cody doesn't know the relationship between The late queen and us..He's American. Really you should judge her on the UK people who loved and respected her not history books of the past.She was our Queen for 70 years not a 4 year term like your presidents.

A few yards away from the statue of Ghandi is a statue of Abraham Lincoln. The other, albeit of a different type, of places that you missed are the Regency Café & the Astral Café. They're both as cheap and cheerful as is possible in that area. They're only about 100 yards apart and are a few minutes walk from Parliament Square. The Regency has appeared in a few films, so some of you might recognise it.

I wouldn't have made the joke about the Queen being in a box now, but it's fine if you want to. It's personal choice. The Queen put up with a lot worse when she was alive and didn't seem to mind. I don't think she would have clutched her pearls at the thought of someone making a pretty harmless joke at her expense after she was dead. I think the people offended by such a throwaway jokey line (even if they find it off-colour) need to lighten up a little.
