On seal with a spring I pack the spring with #2 grease

Question for you, if you dont mind. Does the cub cadet 2135 have a relay for the pto ? My pto won't engage and I've replaced the switch already. It just seems like I'm not getting power to it.

Why not just use a gear / wheel pully puller?

@@redneckcomputergeek I would think (I know, there I go thinking again) you would need something that would only go around the sheave(s) to avoid crushing the clutch. Also, schedule 80 PVC works great on installing seals

You should have put a little engine oil on the crankshaft instead of the P B Blaster and the block should have been clean and dry before Installing the new seal . This new seal will probably work its way out with the P B Blaster on the seal surface of the engine block. Hope it doesn't !

Nice how-to video! I’ve only done one of those before, and in my case it turned out not be the issue - the engine was worn to the point it was building enough internal pressure that it was popping seals out! I doubt you have anything like that going on here. What model Cub is that? The very first mower I parted out was a 2000 series like that.

how do we get the shroud off the back of the motor to get to the coil pack dying for a video on the 2000 series to get to that coil pack

I know this is off key but i have a John Deere z540r ztrak and i have a kohler pro 26hp v-twin. I am putting a kohler pro 26hp v-twin on it but i do not know the wiring on the John deere can you help me on it!!!!!!

Are you putting in an exact replacement? If so, the wiring should be the same. Just unplug the harness and disconnect the wire(s) to the starter and reconnect on the new engine
