Thanks for the in-depth review of this. Just ordered two of these after your review. I have Dell 165w power supplies on hand and will post what the speeds and temps are when this arrives. It's not cost effective for me to run any of my miners due to my power costs but since I have to run a space heater anyway to heat my basement, this solves two issues, warmth and mining. Yes, you can use multiple Avalon Nano 3 devices to mine together. When you connect three of them, you effectively combine their hash power, which in your case would amount to a total of 12 TH/s (4 TH/s each x 3). This setup can indeed work together to mine the same block. However, whether or not to solo mine with this setup depends on your mining goals and the current mining difficulty of the blockchain you're targeting. Solo mining, where you mine alone without joining a mining pool, means that you only earn rewards if you personally find a block, which can be quite difficult with a relatively low hash rate like 12 TH/s depending on the blockchain. This setup is generally more variable in earnings compared to pool mining, where miners combine their computational resources to increase their chances of solving blocks and share the rewards. Moreover, all your devices would need to be configured to point to the same wallet or mining node so that they contribute to the same mining job. This is typically managed through your mining software or a hardware controller that can handle multiple devices. In conclusion, while you can technically use three Avalon Nano 3 units to solo mine and have them work on the same block, whether it's practical or likely to be profitable depends heavily on the current mining landscape and the specific cryptocurrency you are mining. 4

I'm not getting the economics of this yet. I'm obviously overlooking something. If you make $.40 a day x 30 = $120 a month x 12 = $1,440 a year. But you power use is say... 140w x 24 hours, x 30 days = 100800w, x or 100KW. In CA that's about $.30 a kw, or $33.5 a month x 12 = $405. So, you clear roughly $1k a year if you have no added costs or maintenance? Is that why you bought 7 more - to make it generate 7K a year?

Considering order 25 of these. The return wont be as good as my other miners, (+/- 20%) based on cost vs hash, but it'd be nice to heat the home for sure. Based on your vid, Id give it a solid B+. After I can review it myself, I feel confident that it'd be an A- in my books. Time will tell.

Its a pretty cool and affordable home miner. I ordered one. Cost me $250 for everything. Still a good deal comparable to other home mining options. I ordered the blue one. It will sit nicely beside my Apollo home miners. Thanks for sharing this find RPM!

🧐🤔 Im thinking of buying 8 or 10 of these to put around the home and office and Shop. In your opinion, what would be the best way to set these up? Should I have a few lottery mining and the rest on the other mode, should i pool or Solo mine? Also should I run these on high or medium for longevity of the device? Looks to be an interesting miner. I have only played with mining on a raspberry pi5, but it has gotten me interested into mining. I might look at getting this one just to start my crypto journey. Great video.

Great Review, good run through and comparison 👍 I'm in the UK, i ran my numbers with my energy tariff and i' make a Monthly Loss of £13.74 = $17.05😢 Maybe after the halving and come winter it'll be cheaper than gas heating.🤔😂
