If this makes you more anxious slow down or try tapping your knees or your feet on the ground ❤️

I have really bad attacks, where I’ll feel like my brain is on fire, I go from being so cold I’m shivering to sweating bullets in a moments notice, and my body shakes uncontrollably. I hope this helps! Thank you😊

The brain burning is terrible it’s like all the adrenaline / coristol gets locked up there and burns the nerves and creates fire in my forehead / too brain. This is my worst part , I’m 80% head physical and 20% body

@rebeccagriffiths7348 well look up EMDR, there is more to it than just temporarily distracting yourself. The first time I tried EMDR with the tapping like in the video, I'm a man and I won't lie I cried like a baby, and I had some of idea why but there was so much suppression in un processed past teauma... you have to try it to understand

I feel anxiety that I can only tap one hand completely flat and the other one only partially like there's less commitment from that hand and a little stand-offish rejection. 😔 So I unhooked my thumbs and put both hands flat on either side and felt better 🥰

I honestly think that anxiety is underrated and people need to know more and understand what we go through. I have tried to ask for help but I'm scared to let it out I just wanna keep it all inside. Anxiety is just as bad as depression and a phobia. When you have it like I do It's so so so hard butterfly tapping is a temporarily fix a good one as well are deep breaths. Could you post a video about panic attacks I think it'd be helpful ❤️❤️❤️

Speaking as someone who has chronically been “keeping it all inside” please, I beg you, reach out before your body can’t take any more. You deserve to be listened to and helped. I didn’t think I was deserving of help for a few years and I let my mental health get to such a bad point because of refusing to seek help that I have developed chronic fatigue. I am now on the path of managing my mental and physical health but I had to quit college to do so. It gets better when you have the tools to manage :) you wont be able to do it all yourself and that’s okay. There is no harm in admitting you need help. There is, however, harm in not. Just a bit of unsolicited advice from someone who was once in a similar position. I wish you all the best in your journey, I know it’s hard sometimes.

@JoyfulDissolution Very sensible and accurate advice. Living with anxiety disorder can be crippling and keeping it in makes it worse, or at least it did for me. Have you read "The Body Keeps the Score"? Excellent ...... it can be a little triggering, depending on how your anxiety works, but it's a real lesson in the link between our bodies and brains. Many blessings to you.

I am trying to desensitize bad memories and negative thoughts I have about myself. Can I purposely pull up a negative feeling I have about myself (i.e. "I'm not a good friend") then do the butterfly tapping to "reprocess" the thought?

I think tapping as in emotion freedom technique tapping would be more for releasing negative thoughts and the stored trauma in the body. This method she shows does help calm you, but it seems more stand alone.

Thank you Micheline, My therapist recommended this. However, it seems to trigger my throat anxiety!Including anywhere on my chest. Is that unusual? Also, are there other body parts I can tap for the same results.
