Outstanding. I just bought a NS Design Wav4 ,put new Hipshot tuners and a new set of N610 strings and a ninomute mute.. sounds great. I have been playing my 39 Kay for the last few years, but really loving this new setup.

I agree 100%. With its sound and play ability, I use mine on record dates, studio demos and countless live shows since 2012. What foam do you use? Check out . Levin Bro’s cd. Tony plays it throughout. My buddy Jeff Siegal shares the date with Steve Gadd. The instruments range and emotion are unmatched.

Honestly, I never throw away any foam. I'm sure that foam was in the packaging of some piece of gear I bought along the line. It was the right thickness and density, so I went with it!

have you tried setting up a condensor microphone in front of your NS destign bass, and then amplify the microphone? (instead of running the bass directly into the amp) I think it will give you a more acoustic sound

The instrument creates very little acoustic volume; it'd be like mic'ing an unamplified P-Bass. Not really gonna work.
