I first heard this from my late friend, Archiebald Muthuphei Kgabo. (RIP), I loved the rhythm without even understanding the words, but later I gradually understood the words, and we spent a long time playing these tunes, not even talking, just listening, enjoying praise and worship, our hearts tapping into the spiritual music for hours nonend. It wasn't the Democrats, it was capitalism and the propagation of "contemporary gospel" starting with Kirk Franklin. That has suckered the soul out of gospel music. Otherwise, don't believe the hype about black men not being in the church. It's the Republicans and the white church that has seen a decline in recent years.
