If you remember in the very first episode of season one, Ned Stark as Lord of Winterfell, had to execute a deserter of the Night's Watch who was captured on his land. When you take "the black" & vow to be a member of the Night's Watch, it is a life time commitment. You promise to follow a code of conduct which means until you die, you do not abandon your post and you never betray another member or refuse to follow the Lord Commander. As Jon was Lord Commander & leader of the Night's Watch, Ser Allister, Ollie & the others were the true traitors. Treason (& killing your boss) is punishable by death. Jon had no choice but to carry out the execution orders. Otherwise, if he bends the rules & shows mercy for people who literally murdered him, then he is seen as a weak leader. So why should anyone else follow the rules? It could result in a full on mutiny. Actions have consequences, good or bad, no matter how old you are - an old solider or a young boy. You made your own decisions & so you must accept your punishment.

Tyrion's saying there would be a 7 year transition period for slavery was just an attempt to stall the Masters for a short time (maybe weeks?). Tyrion knew that if Dany wasn't back VERY soon, the Masters would just retake Mereen anyway. But if Danny did come back, she would just throw out the agreement.

Jon Snow being reunited with Sansa, literally brings tears to my eyes,as both of them has been through soo much already at this point. And Daenerys/Khaleesi showing that even when outnumbered, she still rules with bravery knowing her strengths wich will be lethal to most other people. So seeing all the Dothrakis kneel for her, also brought a tear to my eye,as its theyr sign of "we will follow you now". She got herself a massive army! Tormund Giantsbane (the new leader of the Wildlings, that also stood close to Ygritte that loved Jon Snow) showed the wildlings odd humour, even at a emotional "reunion". To me Tormund defintly likes Jon alot at this point,he looks at him differently then he did when he basically tried to have both Jon and Ygritte killed climbing the wall. And the Wildlings has a very off type of humour, remember how Ygritte used to tease Jon constantly,i think its theyr way of showing appreciation in situations they find difficult to deal with. Remember everyone they have socialized with over the years, was themselfs. Everyone else just hated them for whatever reason, the Whitewalkers wanted them dead, and so did The Nights Watch (plus other people). The Wildlings pretty much only had eachother for years and years, they were the true outcasts if you will. I dont believe they were ever truly a hostile kind of people, they just learned to survive and protect themselfs in a rough enviorment. Tormund Giantsbane is played by a guy i know well, Kristofer Hivju,a Norwegian actor, producer, screenwriter with experience from theatre, television, radio and movies. He is the son of an actor/actress couple named Erik Hivju og Lieselotte Holmene. I could show you a picture sometime of them all 3 together,Kristofer (basically like Christopher, just written differently) is soo much alike his father its scary! For the longest his trademark was his long thick massive beard, wich also captured the interest from HBO and the people behind Game Of Thrones,as the way he carried himself and his acting skills would be perfect for a Wildling. "Kris" is the most chilled, laidback, funniest and amazing person you could possibly interact with. And he even became a massive Game Of Thrones fan himself after playing the part as Tormund. So i understand why BJ has taken a liking to him more and more,he is amazing. His Tormund character just needs some time to fully understand and like for most, and he comes through like you have seen already. His character just grew into something greater, then when we first met him.

There is a ton of interesting lore about the gods in this show and in the books (apparently, I've never read the books), and what everyone's religion means and what it is based in. When they reference "the old gods" for example, that's a northerner thing. The weird trees that have faces, one of which still lives in Winterfell, and does seem connected to the three eyed raven. The Starks are still believers in the old gods, which is why Jon Snow wished to take his knights of the watch oath north of the gate at the "god's wood". The 7, seems like it is a manufactured religion as far as I can tell. But so far, only one god has been proven to exist (the lord of light). Unfortunately, the same god that brought Jon Snow back, also requires its followers to sacrifice young children in a fire. So...

This is one of the longest callbacks ever. In Episode 10 Season 1 Khaleesi told her people "I swear to you, that those who would harm you will die screaming". In Season 2 she sent her bloodriders to look for a place to escape the desert. One was sent back with his severed head in a pouch. Jorah told her it was a message from the other Khal's, "they don't like the idea of a woman leading a Khalasar". In this episode all the Khal's were in that temple she burned. And they did indeed die screaming.

That scene with Jon and Sansa is top 10 best moments in the show easily. The way she’s looking around hopelessly thinking to herself Jon is probably dead when she doesn’t see him then the look of relief on her face when he walks out. And Jon, having always been ostracized by Sansa, knowing at that moment despite all that, she still considered him her brother and ran to him for safety. They think they’re the only family they have left (seeing as Sansa doesn’t know where Bran and Rickon are). It’s so touching.
