Possibly one of the better episode of Series 7, the total faith Spike has in Buffy ' she will come for me' as he is teased and tortured by the First Evil in Buffy's persona shows the total trust they now have in each other. Buffy proves the ultimate power of The Slayer in the fight, giving The Potentials demonstrable proof they can win.

I love that this episode acknowledges The First as what Spike said to Xander when he found out Xander, Willow, Tara, and Anya resurected Buffy. Most of this season has and will be a consequnce to resurecting Buffy, which makes the Scoobies indirectly responsible for a lot more than just Buffy's depression last season.

Welcome back, Jen! I hope real life is not intruding too much on your KZbin. I agree -- I wasn't quite sure why I wasn't crazy about this season. This did feel like filler, even if every season has its this is a bit empty.. After being the best show on TV, I wasn't wowed. It felt like the potentials were all actress hopefuls there to compete for the sequel. Even the jokes seemed to shout out 'Hi, I'm a joke."

Andrew would be a better character if they allowed him to stop being closeted, as his character was obviously supposed to be gay. They strongly suggested that he was in love with Warren. In the second and third seasons, BTVS made a joke out of Larry being gay, but never featured a gay male character who was out of the closet, other than a peripheral character like Larry.

I agree about the girls. The Potentials suck. :) Way too many of them. And yep,for the last season, I wanted it more to be about the core Scoobies. And Andrew could leave too.

The Potentials probably sounded better on paper than the way they dragged the story down in reality. Most were boring and annoying.
