The problem with the Bulldogs 1 from four, etc was they absolutely panicked when someone left the field injured. It was tangible. Cameron would make sight changes and it threw them. And you're right they 100% play for each other, like Bulldogs v Raiders at Belmore and most of them were sick but still played, Critta stood up and was counted. Will you ever forget his two tries and then running from right centre to catch a left centre bomb, a perfect pass and the Bulldogs won the game. Critta knew how sick his charges were and just made it happen.
