For a conductor that some describe as slow and heavy, he demonstrates here a lively and light conducting style that he also infuses into the choir and the orchestra. The two female soloists, Harper and Baker, at the peak of their art, are perfect. A historical version which has the added advantage of a magnificent sound recording! This must quench the thirst of the heart of hectic modern people, and evoke comfortable feelings and a peace of mind, and embody great pleasure and deep impression and prodigious admiration

Superb Felix played with enthusiasm and a joy to listen to and a conductor that can show he can be jolly and not the slow plodding Otto often portrayed

This is more than beautiful. Now, whale is playing, I'm thinking about my wife, my love and I'm deeply moved... this is, at least for me, something else. Thank you.
