The Epson printer programming is designed to force you to buy ink more often than needed. The printer is programmed to use CMYK even when you select B/W in every menu. It still uses a small bit of CMYK. So even if you have a full cartridge of Photo Black, it won't print a B/W document if the CMYK levels are too low. At lease, that's how the XP-610 operates.

I have just bought this kit for my Epson XP 970. Can I wait until the first original cartridge runs out, remove just that 1, and replace with the equivalent matching inkowl, until I eventually use all the originals first?

Question: Is there a refill hole for the XP800 carts? If not, where do I drill?

The cartridges shown in the video are special-built refillable cartridges with a premade hole and a plug to seal it. Original cartridges will not have such a hole. With this printer, you're really a lot better off using a refillable cartridge system like the one we show in our video. Your refills will be much more reliable, and the procedure is a lot simpler than refilling the originals.

I recently bought an Epson 610 and frankly it is using a lot of ink considering all I've done is print basic around 20 or so text documents in the month I've had it. This looks like something I can really use, being a 19 year old with minimal income and all. Can I only order your products online or may I find it in certain office stores? I prefer physical locations for purchasing these kind of products whenever possible, since when I actually go to buy something like this, its because I really need it for one reason or another.

***** That is some really excellent info! Thank you for sharing! It is true, for this model, that our refillable cartridges do hold more ink than even OEM XL cartridges do. We also cannot stress enough to our customers that inkjet inks vary wildly by printer, and that you must always use an ink specifically designed for your printer.

how does the resettable chip work , how do you reset it .

When the ink level reaches "empty" and the printer prompts you to replace the ink, by removing and reinstalling the cartridge, the chip automatically resets to a full level.

Process Unknown Usually, it takes about 6-12 months after a printer is released for the aftermarket chip manufacturers to make an auto-reset chip. We're waiting on this to happen for the #410 cartridges as well. When the chips do come out, we will be able to make refillable cartridges. As I do to get this ink system for the Epson xp-610 friend buy a set of ink and not recognize it the machine since purchasing it in United States and living in venezuela

If the system was bought from us, please contact us directly. However, if your refillable cartridges are not being recognized, you most likely have a defective chip. Just one of the five chips being defective can cause the whole system to be unrecognized. In any case, you should definitely contact your vendor.
