Isn't it just easier to create a wifi adapter for the existing wall mount switch, that is the product I am searching for, I believe that is simple low current DC/AC switch?

I change my internet provider and I can't get the new wifi to work with the app. It's been a while since I had it before so now I don't remember how I set it the first time

Got one a few weeks ago. Installed it and it thought there was an obstruction; there wasn't. What passes for tech support is somewhere in the Orient because e-mails were only answered at night (here). There is no phone support. At one point, I waited FIVE days for a response. They finally sent me a second unit. It worked for a few hours and then developed the same problem. I told 'em I'd send it back to them and send the original back to Amazon for a refund and purchase something that worked and had decent tech support (Nexx NXG-200). My advice - don't waste your time with this thing.

Does the phone app work to open/close the garage door while away from home? i.e. while the phone is not connected to the home wifi router.

nice review - though after about 6mos, mine has now decided to open and close randomly after I initially click in the app to open/close it - seems to have started happening just after the firmware 'upgrade' too.... tried different settings including changing trigger duration - may have to reset it all and start from scratch, bleh

Hi Prabhjot, compatibility has more to do with the type of garage door opener that you have. As long as you can hook up the sensors to the open and close button and put a sensor so that the system knows that the doors open or closed usually somewhere by the actual door frame itself it should work. Your Wi-Fi needs to be strong enough as well to reach the garage.

Hi Justin, yes I would think definitely the sensors need to be installed. It tells the system that the door is open or the door is closed and sends you notifications.

I don't know what I did wrong. It's clicking but not opening. I can open it manually. On meross app mesg pops up "garage open action failed" and on eHome life it just clicks and nothing.

I want to use siri to control Meross but when I set it up siri says it needs a passcode set up? I don't have a passcode on my iphone and don't want one on it, is there a way around this?

The passcode is in the Meross app. It has this safety precaution if using Google home as well.

Hmmm, I have it set up through Google home. If I ask Siri to open the garage door, Siri opens the Google assistant but then asks for the passcode. You may have to set up apple home app or Google to work with Meross and Siri

@@logannicholson7940 I have it sent up in google home and Alexa, both work fine, It just doesn’t want to work with Siri without a passcode, still thinking it wants me to set up a passcode on the iPhone!

I have not tried the Home kit, so I’m not sure if the Meross garage door system Works with it.

Hi Chris, I do have it hooked up to Google home and it works well. It will ask for a PIN for it to open the door.

@@smartnupdwayne2512 Can it 'announce' via you Google Home? So if you're sitting at home and the door opens, it'll tell you on the Google home? Kinda thinking to use it more like an intruder notification.

If MyQ G0401 and RSG100 were same price the MyQ would be a no brainer and cleaner to install. I don’t like the look of running the sensor wires all the way to the door.
