Printer Not Recognising an Ink Cartridge? Try This!

If your printer does not recognised one of the two cartridges it uses, give this a go. The copper strip with gold contact on the front of the black and tri-colour ink cartridge are used for communication with the printer, ink or dirt over a key contact can cause the printer to not recognise one (or both) at all.
A physical clean like this is often the best solution if your printer has been left unused for an extended period of time. We recommend this tip for any two ink cartridge printers produced by Canon, Hewlett Packard (HP), Lexmark, Dell or even some select Samsung printers.

Yesss ! It solved my issue. I used a coffee filter and sprayed the coffee filter with cleaning spray for my sunglasses and it worked fantastic! Thank you!

​​​​@@hippohoppa There's no other explanation for cartridges being disabled or not working after the ink is over and been refilled. With some models you are able to just refill the ink with DIY methods but some disable the cartridges completely Edit: I'm no expert but anyone with common sense will understand that these printer brands are monopolizing the little competition they have in this industry Or it might simply be these brands taking care of the customer's printer by preventing over use of print heads leading to poor quality prints. Only God knows that

This will work 50% of the time. To increase the chance of working.... also clean the cartridge contacts inside the printer itself

It worked for me. Previously, I gave my Canon GM2070 to repair, they said your printer need special treatment and had to be sent to the Canon service centre. 😂 Then I just watched your video. Money Saved!

@@rupashri812 yeah can't recognize by printer i just buy a new cartridges... if u wanna try i can suggest one step, try open cartridge rinsed thoroughly make it dry and used new sponges which is present inside cartridge..... that will fixed...
