I'm am not religious, but we all have questions, and at times, we really don't want an answer , we just merely want to be heard. Mori's husband is the son of Missionaries that run a orphanage, for abused and neglected children. He is very faith driven and, has helped Mori embrace faith more. He is the one that did this "one take" version and you hear him at the end. Another one you'll enjoy....since the " BER " season is upon us.( for Filipino's Xmas season starts with the months that end in BER ) O'Holy Night , Favor Church , version is STELLAR.

I would recommend starting with 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' or as a kicking off point. This was a heartfelt prayer. As you know, our Queen Morissette is a born-again Christian, and that is maybe the reason on how she was able to give justice to this beautiful song. Kneeling down on her knees while singing this prayer, humbly asking for the Messiah... That is the true personality of Queen Morissette, and that is why we love her so much and dub her as our Queen (besides her awesome talents). She offers everything to the Lord, including her talent. It was written by award winning stage director Freddie Santos. According to him, he was at the rehearsal of a stage comedy when words comes into head, it looks like God wanted to make a song out of it the only problem he doesn't know about music then he called his friend Gary Valenciano to put music he made. Gary turned him down at first because he was very sick that time ( Gary a diabetic ) But Freddie was surprised when Gary called and invited him in the house. They went upstairs ( Gary's studio in the attic) 5pm and finished at 5am.. According to Freddie, from time to time Gary pricked his fingers to checked his blood sugar the same fingers pounded the strings. God works in mysterious ways. 💛🙏💛

I'm not in the least surprised when reactors who react to this song sung by her, sheds tears. I am, however, shocked and disappointed when they don't. Knowing Morissette is a born-again Christian, endears her to her fans even more (myself included). She, as an artist, never shies away from her faith and you can hear it in her vocals when she sings Christian songs. And if you haven't noticed, but might need to, when she does sing Christian songs, there is so much more conviction in her voice and near perfection, that few artists bring to similar songs. To watch reactors so moved by her, no matter what she sings, moves me as well. She is one-of-a-kind and still doesn't receive the accolades she so deserves.
