If there is such a thing as a dual perfect performance then Queen: Somebody to love (Live In Milton Keynes) is it. This was - I believe - Freddie's favourite song and he loved to tinker around with it. No performance of it is the same and in this version you can hear the crowd chanting Somebody To Love as he revs them up. It also has the most romantic intro.

'Gotten' isn't even a word in English. It's an American and Canadian word. 'Got' is used in the UK as an English word.
@josefschiltz21923 ай бұрын
@@harvelle2432 'Gotten' originally from Middle English geten, from Old Norse geta, and is related to Old English gietan. In British English, gotten was the preferred form some centuries ago. But, then around the 1600s, the standard form shifted to got athough gotten does appear in some British English dialects. Gotten migrated with the New World settlers. Gotten appears in the works of Shakespeare and the writings of Thomas Hobbs and the King James anglicization of the Bible.

Yeah drummer singers are like gold. I mean it must be like rubbing your head and patting your tummy. Or maybe the best of them can just think of it like another part of there drum kit. So few bands had drummers that could do it though. Rodger fucking owned it and could sing and sing very well

Right? And he never looks like he's trying. He's just always swinging about. Unless you look carefully, you'd never know that he was playing what he was. The whole band have a kind of effortless look about them, to a certain extent, but I feel Deacon took that a step further. La dee da dee da, while playing some of the most iconic bass lines in rock music, some of which for songs he wrote. Amazing!

I'm 30 rows back from the front in that HUGE arena being totally mesmerized by this fantastic band - so on point, so absolutely perfect in every way - the all time BEST concert I've ever seen - that's saying something because I've seen the greatest bands in concert. Everyone knows that Freddie was the most fantastic performer of all time - THAT VOICE! - but he always said that he was NOT the leader of QUEEN; he was only 1/4 of this great band. Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon each wrote Queen songs, each of them have been inducted into the "Songwriters Hall of Fame", they all had INNATE musical ability (no one in Queen received musical training) and, most importantly, they all continued to grow and evolve. And they stayed together for over 20 years! You are on a fantastic journey - I know that at least some of the MILLIONS of Queen fans world-wide will join you. That includes me! Throw a dart and react to any song from the Montreal, Wembley 1986, Rock in Rio,1985 or Budapest (Hungary)1986 concerts and you will not be disappointed!

I was fortunate to see Queen during this tour at the Baltimore Civic Center in August of 1980. I was 18 at the time, and I still vividly remember this show. Freddie owned the crowd from the moment he stepped onstage.

Amazing to know it was so long ago! I was 21 then! I wasn't with the crowd unfortunately. Fantastic song from Freddie & the gang!! Sensational. I loved the drummer too, Roger Taylor. Also singing with Freddie occasionaly, backing singing. Love him too!!
