I just found this channel. I was thinking about coming to kag soon your videos confirmed it. I see your videos and notice your extremely hard work ethic. Some of these rookies see this and say “I don’t want to be like that “ but as an semi experienced driver I understand your working like this because you have a BIG plan you are working towards ‼️ Once a man finally becomes sort of wise he understands extremely hard work is required to achieve even the smallest dream‼️

i applied to KA and was iffy on the position and turned down. Couple of days later your channel popped up, with the position i applied for. Running Chemicals on an Regional account in Wisconsin. Your channel helped me with the decision to reapply for the position. Now on track to be hired on. Thank you for your help. I was with a company, that was recently bought out and literally lost all the accounts around me. I was what was called a Flex Driver for Cardinal Logistics. Was gone for months at a time and home for a week. Was a great gig, until the other company made huge changes. Be safe out there.

Thanks for sharing! Sorry to hear about your past troubles, but KAG should be a good fit for you! If the Wisconsin terminal runs you like Arkansas runs me, you’ll be happy to know that you can stay out as long as they’ve got loads to pull.

Nope! Lose most of it catching up on sleep, doing domestic stuff and getting ready to go back out. Great formula for hypertension. Better off staying out 2 or 3 weeks with 1 off. But it's a toxic lifestyle either way. At least home every night (or day) you get some control over what you eat and a semblance of a circadian rythym. Maybe even time to exercise? I'm trying to transition into tanker now including KAG in 🇨🇦. Trucking here has been decimated by subsidized foreign "drivers" with the tax payer picking up 70 0/0 of the equally insanely low pay now vs cost of living etc. Thinking of hanging up my keys for good now or shunting this winter to avoid the mayhem on the road.

When i was starting, it was extremely rare to see a truck on the road during the holidays or even on a regular Saturday. My first memorial day weekend i drove from Ann arbor Michigan to dayton ohio before I saw another truck on the road.

@@raydavis74 ya it’s a weird game unless you buy your own truck and that’s easier said then done
@raydavis74Ай бұрын
@harryknutts8428 i would never buy a truck unless I could pay cash for it. And i would let it sit for a year. We don't have truck payments here.
@harryknutts8428Ай бұрын
@ I probably won’t either just because of what I hear about it. It’s really kind of stupid to buy a truck for somebody else, which is basically what it is but if you could figure out how to start your own trucking company, that’s a different story.

Hey Brother, What's their training like? I've been doing fuel for the past 2 years but just had to move back to Jonesboro, AR and got an offer from KAG Specialty out of Springfield. I know there's a week in GA then I go to Springfield for a week. But they said something about being with a trainer after that and I'm not really looking forward to that and considering telling them never mind. Would I be sharing a truck with some dude for 2-3 weeks? That's my biggest concern lol. Thanks brother. Stay safe!
@FreightHauler875 күн бұрын
The training was simple for me. The first week is orientation. The second and third week was riding with a trainer. That consisted of me driving the trainer’s truck while the trainer sat in the passenger seat. He taught me how to use the ELD and record every stop and how to fill out the dvir and things of that nature. He taught me how to unload the tanker and so on. Daily tasks, basically. One thing we never did, was team drive the truck. I didn’t sleep in the bunk while he drove, and vice versa. For our ten-hour breaks, we slept in hotels. We worked 5 or 6 days, then went home.

@@erthompson22 it was only busy from August to October. The rest of they year is very slow. You might run 3 nights a week, you might run once. It’s an easy job, lots of home time, but I don’t recommend it unless you’re looking for a semi-retirement gig
