It is always important to edit, cut and, make your points concise but, I suggest keep following the stories while not sacrificing the depth or your insights for arbitrary time constraints. To date, I have yet to watched one of your long form video essays and thought, "this is too long" The opposite. Like Thomas Keller said, paraphrasing here, " I always want someone to take the last bite of a dish and want just one more" These new long stories leave me with that feeling of wanting a bit more, which is perfect. I think this feeling I experience, is a good sign, that you don't need to worry about their length. I grew up in Fairmount, where Dean is from. For those interested, they have a car show in his honor every September. The same weekend, Gas City also has a car show (about 10 minutes north), and Jonesboro (right next to Gas City) has a motorcycle show. It makes for a great weekend for automotive enthusiasts. Marion occasionally tries to do something to ride the coattails of Fairmount/Gas City/Jonesboro, claiming the "he was born in Marion" line- but let's face it- nearly everyone born in Grant County was "born" in Marion- that's where the hospital is. Otherwise, Marion is a wasteland full of meth, run-down houses, and rot.

+Jason Gotcha. _You_ get it. It still amazes me that so many do not. It's such a simple thing to pronounce an easily pronounceable name correctly. Yet so many don't. I suppose it's just sheer ignorance. We can educate though and will continue to do so.

I love these stories, and this one was so entertaining! I don't mind them being long, I listen to them while I'm driving. Thanks for another super entertaining tale and I can't wait for the next one!

Thank you, Roman! Your stories are great listening and I especially love the story of James Dean and the cursed Porsche. Little did I know about the rumor of his car hiding in my county. Keep it up!

What an accomplished piece of work, masterfully narrated and edited. (I'm really impressed by how synchronous the visuals and the recitation are...always a challenge.) If I'd thought The J D Road Accident Saga had been done to exhaustion, this vid dispels that heresy. Roman, you have a serious aptitude for documentaries. Michelin rating: Two Pilot Sport PAX 245/690 R520 and Two 365/710 R540 up.

The car has been found! I cant remember the exact details but basically the story is an older gentleman remembers when he was younger his dad hid the car behind a false wall somewhere. They're currently trying to figure out who will have rights to the car. The insurance company, the new home owners, or the guy that knows where it's at. If you're as interested in the car as I am google the little bastard and false wall it should pull the story up.

duder7589 nothing has come of that story and I doubt it ever will. What’s the point of it all anyways? A mangled shell of a car that was hammered out and put on display back in the day, it looked stupid then and would look desperate and pointless now to display it.

nice effort really well balanced great detail I loved the curse of the little basturd and I feel you brought a new perspective to the story you can tell you really did your homework and didn't just read a wiki page. once again very good work.

This is along the lines of "Eastern Airlines fight 401". Parts used from a tragedy that came back to haunt others. Good coverage.

Fantastic job Roman!! This is one of my favorite automotive stories, almost certainly my favorite. The man was a myth and a legend and everything surrrounding his short stint in the public eye gets a lot of detail searched for. Reality is I think in general people want to put more into the Little Bastard story purely because there is just so little there, the same as with James Dean, people want to read more into his life and career(s) because he was so young and the World didn't have enough of him. In reality it was a million little details that led to his untimely death and there is no way of rationalize it.

Roman, I love these videos!!! I would actually be kinda sad if they were made any shorter. Keep up the brilliant work! Can't wait for the next story!

I love these vids, especially if they're long. I actually watch as much as I listen, and they're great in the hour I have to relax before going to work. Keep it up, Roman.

Very long story short: if you're driving a car with the crash-worthiness of a piece of aluminum foil, then any reckless behavior on the road is you taking your life into your own hands. I love those timeless cars from an era before safety regulations saw everything grow large, bloated, and heavy, but I realize that driving such a thing means to saddle yourself with the responsibility for your own life in a way that modern cars shield us from. If you flip a 90's Accord, you're probably going to die. If you crash in a 60's Porsche, you're probably going to die. It's a lot like riding a motorcycle. You're taking your fate into your own hands every time you drive it, so you just have to come to terms with such an eventuality.

STRONGLY recommend doing a story on the EV1, especially business context for the whole scenario. it's becoming increasingly relevent with the rise of the 200 mile range sub 40k ev

even if they keep going longer, I don't think anyone is going to complain, honestly I kinda like these a little bit more than the reviews... they are quite historically informational, and I like that. keep it up roman

Your pronunciation of Porsche is actually correct. It was pronounced that way for many years by everyone. It was changed by so called "car experts" only in the last few decades. I'm 69 and have always pronounced it exactly as you do.

There was a lesser known actor named Tom Pittman. Although lesser known, he had a lot of film and radio credits under his belt and was considered "Hollywoods most promising actor." He idolized James Dean and even had the same model Porsche as Dean. Like Dean he died from a car crash, he was leaving a party during Halloween and went through a guard rail and went down a ravine over a hundred feet down and out of sight. He ended up being found less than a month later from a cop. One of the films he was in was in a MST3K episode for "High School Big Shot."

Now 4 years later I would suggest a research topic: The Blue Train race involving the Bentley boys. Wolfe Barnato subsequently commissioned a 'Corsica' style coachwork on new Bentley, celebrating that event that caught global media attention. That unique car is well-known in collector car communities.
