Like, I know the original joke is that the guy had an OG Xbox from 2001 and unlike the 360 those didn't have uno, but Rei actually having Uno and even playing with the PC opponents while lying to Asuka just to spite her, it's so genius, and the animation in the end of Asuka losing it is so smooth, if only studio Khara had a fraction of the budget of this video.

Haven't watched those movies, but regardless, I wouldn't be surprised if the actual issue was crunch. Totally Not Mark, who himself is an artists, made a point in his Fixing Dragon Ball Super series that budget isn't an automatic fix. Art still needs time for form, and if you limit that time, you get bad art. And that's likely true for any creative process or any kind tangentially related to it.

@@ninja3212 Maybe not to the extent of Dragon Ball Super, but compare the fight choreography of Sam Rami's Spider-Man compared to the other movies in the trilogy. The common criticism for the first movie is that the fight scenes feel like theatre stunts with WWE style selling (yes, that's where no-selling comes from). Understandably, their CGI didn't have the quality it later got, but compare those scenes to the Peter/Harry rematch in the third movie. Yes, it's under different circumstances, but you can totally see what happens when choreographers are allowed more freedom to flex their muscles (though idk if there were behind the scenes issues). These scenes didn't need to have a high budget and an overuse of cgi like the train scene in the second movie or the first Peter/Harry fight scene, they just needed someone who has the skill to organize the actors, stunt doubles, set designers, and even small usage of cgi to make these scenes happen. This can also apply to animation. Yes, the overall motion and visuals may work, but if the battles are hampered by lessened grandiosity and have no creativity outside of variation in punches and kicks, it's missappropriating what animators can do given the right focus. (Again, haven't watched the movies, I'm just trying to pragmatically provide possible explanations to issues that people commonly dub as a budget thing).
