As a baby/toddler, my favourite sleeping stuffed animal was a giant blue patchwork bear that was bigger than I was until I was 4. I loved it. I kept it until it was literally falling apart (you couldn't touch the fabric anymore as it would just give way). I was 57 when I finally said goodbye to it.

Watching you talking about your time with your dad made me cry 🥹 my dad passed from lung cancer when I was 18 and seeing things like that makes me so grateful for the time I had with him, and seeing y’all just have the best time makes me so emotional. I’m so glad it was so good for him, and I’m absolutely sure it had something to do with how good he felt after chemo. Sending all of my love and healing, and thank you again for sharing your life with us. ❤

There's something about Reina videos that install a sense of... ineffable happiness or perhaps maybe closer to contentment when I watch. It's a calm almost safe place(?) in a way if that makes sense. The pace of the videos, the laid back style of editing and just the warmth and sincerity that she radiates naturally in vlogs and other content that takes me away from any of my own problems and leaves me feeling warm and happy. My little guy turned 8 in Seeptember, Reina. Watching this video, especially the ending, had me crying. They're little only for so long then before you know it they're losing teeth and being independent and it becomes surreal again... 😅 I don't care if you don't upload as often as you used to. The yearly message is a beautiful suggestion from your mother. My husband and I write a letter to our son every year on his birthday. It's sealed and we don't read each others at all. ❤ We have them stored in his baby book for his 18th birthday where he will ideally have 18 letters from each parent. He kust turned 4 and I was so emotional writing a reflection on the past year and seeing the letters stack up is so lovely 😍

That ending of seeing Airi from birth till now got me. 😭 My little girl is going to be 21 months within the week and it’s so bittersweet. The love of each stage is so immense but so is saying goodbye to that little dumpling I once held in my arms.

It almost felt like heartbreak, while also being excited for the future- which is a very difficult storm of emotions to navigate 😅

Man time really does go by so fast, Happy birthday to the lovely Airi!!!! May her years be filled with so much joy and love that extends out to the rest of the family with hopes for good health and prosperity. It’s so touching the idea of doing a memory book to give her when she turns 18!! I’m sure regardless of how put together or we’ll organized it is, the heart will be there and she’ll know. My mother passed about a year ago from ovarian cancer and honestly all the little mementos and keepsakes I’ve been able to keep with me since mean so much since we’ve had to move a lot and really struggled for the last years there was only so much we could do. All the photos and memories became even more precious since which was somewhat unfortunate because she hated photos and was always camera shy. You can’t put a price on things like that. Thank you for continuing to share your journey with us and I wish your family the best in these times!

I just got my first salary job about a week later and my dream was to take him on a vacation because he worked so hard for us. Birthday, parade, anniversary, halloween. Its like a Reina family golden week. Orange week? Next year, you probably could use Kabocha puree if you do pumpkin gnocchi again. Canned pumpkin in the US is closer to butternut squash than jack o lantern pumpkins anyway. I like the mummy dogs. The eyes give them that vaguely kawaii aesthetic from a Yoshi game. Beady but cute. Reina! If you can, please buy another one of the caterpillar friends to put in a keepsake box. In case Airi loses the one you got her, or it gets damaged/ruined, then she will have another one. Or, you can keep it in the box for when she's older; I wish my mom and dad had kept a duplicate of my favorite stuffed animal from when I was a baby! I was luckily able to find one on Ebay when I became an adult, but it would have been special to have one my parents had gotten for me years ago. Big hugs and lots of love to you and your family!

This was such a cute, fun video!! all parts of it :) my dad is also wrapping up chemo for an aggressive lymphoma, but he was so immunocompromised that we had to quarantine (like early 2020 style) the whole 18 weeks of his treatment. We're hoping to take a family trip next year to make up for all the missed celebrations! Maybe even to Star Wars land in LA!
