So true Lerato, I also block out certain events and conditions depending on how they make me feel. It drives my partner crazy! To him I am forgetting important issues. To me, I simply block out traumatic and painful experiences.

Phetola you’re not the only one, perhaps that’s how we are as women,because what you say is familiar , and surprisingly enough how Lerato reacts is similar to how my husband does, you know wow thanks guys this is absolutely imperative, and wisdom filled May the good Lord help us to be better communicators in marriage , to exercise grace wow that was a great point Lerato🙌🏽 cos wow a lot bad fights are due to bad manner of approach in communication.

The manner in which we speak, the tone, the attitude…. Wise advice. The way we approach others says a lot about our heart ♥️. We need to still learn to speak in love though our feelings are hurt, yet remaining truthful. I used to be a straight talker too, in all my relationships, and Lord did that get me in trouble.. Thank God for maturity. We need to learn to get our defences down and communicate and not just talk. #Dreamteam You Are The Bestest. 🏆

I'm like Lerato when it comes to communicating with grace and love. Fighting with words is truly hurtful, and then my husband will apologize later like, it's harder to forget what was said...let's just not engage until we're calm.

@LM-he7eb2 жыл бұрын
Tjeeeer! Mr.Makhs. I like the fact that you noted that Pheto's inability to admit that she misses you, could be because she doesn't trust you with her feelings. And I like that you asked how you have contributed to that mistrust.

Jooo this is profound installment. When I communicate things to my husband, most of the time I mean them. My husband confuse communication and being talkative, and everytime I try to communicate something he would say "ngikhuluma kakhulu" meaning I'm talkative.

On the "make it seem like his idea"... I agree, it doesn't even have to be a serious issue. My e.g when we are at the shops and I suddenly remember that a child needs a pair of jeans for civvies and he would say "no, it's not in the budget, you like spending unplanned " and Bob's your uncle he comes home the next day with a better looking one and much more pricey and he comes home happy about the purchase.
