"Love is not easily angered (1 Corinthians 13:1-...)". Sometimes we get caught up in our offenses...but may the Holy Spirit help us to learn to communicate and overlook an offense (Proverbs 19:11) in love and through Grace and to humbly apologize even if one may not be wrong. Grace in love is the foundation 🙌

I think also “Not being able to say sorry” comes from brokenness, thus saying sorry in that instance feels like losing something rather than being empowered.

Oh! I loved this! I don't know how many times I've listened to Lerato unpacking on what the real FEAR is! Because quite frankly I can't control my spouse's behavior...but what I've control of is ME! Very enlightening even to me as a woman...profound! THANK YOU

"Your partner is on your side" mind blown! God is working wonders through the two of you. Guys please consider being mentors/mediators!? You might not see yourselves as such but I know i'm not the only one yerning for that from the two of you. Much love❤❤❤

"I hear you" - hubby and I have also adopted this phrase when we "hear" but don't necessarily understand the other's view point - it helps us "chew over" an issue, search our hearts and when we address it later - the situation is usually diffused and we can then hear AND understand each other... Really goes a long way in adding good building blocks in this thing called marriage...

Totally agree Abuti Lerato, how we feel or how we even regulate our thoughts is also a choice.

Hi Makhs. As I’m watching the last part and the last point that Lerato was making I started getting the feeling that sure these conversations that you are having with us must be very therapeutic for you both. Surely your relationship&/ marriage is getting stronger has entered a new dimension of greatness. I love this for you guys. God works in mysterious ways. You have these conversations with us (your audience in my mind) so give us content but I Imagine and I’m actually convinced that God is healing old wounds, strengthening your current position in your marriage ,blessing your family and moving in your marriage in a way that you never imagined. Thank you for sharing yourselves with us, Thank you for allowing God to minister to us through you. My prayer is for the enemy to fail dismally in all his attempts to attack marriages in this country because this what you are doing is God covering and protecting yours and other marriages in the world.

I love watching you two learn from each other. The idea of not going to bed angry fits here though. It doesn’t mean not to go to bed without resolution… it just means do not be angry. In other words, choose to still be loving and respectful of your partner before you go to bed, but also realizing that a conclusion doesn’t have to be reached tonight.

@TheMakhs2 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the heaviness of the situations. Sometimes we are able to carry on while we digest the issue. Other times we give each other space (but not for too long). We try not to drag issues.

Now this is a good topic! One thing I've mastered in my relationship with my boyfriend is learning to apologize! Whether being wrong or right! After watching this I know now to walk away, even if I don't agree with something or just sleep on it. I like to talk about my problem right then and there, but you guys helped me to find a better way to communicate. My boyfriend and I are 3 months in and we feel like we've been together forever. We've learned what we like and don't like. We've learned so much through you guys and our own experiences. Thank you so much for the Love Trivia questions by the way! Him and I aren't perfect, but through prayer him and I are willing to keep going and stay strong!
