You know the one insight I took from this is that the honeymoon stage is nothing something to fear, but is apart of the process is needed to bond with someone, and the process of bonding as Matthias where we look at persons flows and see ways to draw closer. This is all in understanding what are red flags and what is not. I have learned that the brain is designed to keep you alive. We can go into fight or flight in all things, without knowing how to ground ourselves and really take stock of what is before us, who we are as an individual and in a relationship. I myself am exploring practicing letting go within a relationship rather than holding onto a person just so they won't leave me. I fight for my relationships. Nonetheless understanding that I am me and they are them and seeking to engage with someone rather than engage to change to force-fit is apart of this process. This video helped me see all of this and I am thankful. Thank you for sharing!

I hear this, and I don't disagree. But then, how does someone then know that they should walk away? Sometimes connections or relationships aren't right. How do you tell the difference?
@shetter1231
@shetter1231 3 жыл бұрын
I feel and what I take from this is , after the known as "honeymoon stage" you truly see their colors, and you see their faults, and I feel at that time you must determine if you could live with these faults for the rest of your life, if you can learn to love them, or continue to love them as they are , or you it's absolutely a hard pass and you just can't live like that for another day , and that's when you'll determine maybe it will be best to walk away or stay. The main thing I hear alot is "well I love them but I want them to change." And that's is probably a time you should leave. You are not the right person and should not be with a person you want to complete change. So essentially know if the connection is just not there or the faults are too much depending on your faults and their faults put together and determining if you're willing to love and live the rest of your life them! Hope this helped!

What if you’re a perfect pair but there are other factors like your inner critic that’s keeping you for embracing those feelings? What if you recognize that but can’t exactly shut out that inner critic?

Hi Matthias, in one of your videos you talk about how we don’t get to tell a person how to love us but rather see how they love and choose if we want to participate… I’ve been looking for that forever and I lost it. Which video is that in, do you remember?

my girlfriend and i are so in love we do everything together and it’s as if the honeymoon stage is still going but when we argue or fight she always has this “if we break up oh well” and i feel like she doesn’t fight for me when i fight a lot. does that mean anything?

what if the Infatuation ends way before a year?

I feel this is not one size fits all, essentially he is saying their will be an infatuation stage, and on an adverage it's three years in, which is the adverage of a couple moving in together and taking the next step. If it happens before a year it doesn't knock the relationship any less then others, and something I have actually learned is that you go through phases of infatuation. Sometimes the faults shine through alittle bit after a year, and you continue going on asking yourself if you are willing to live and love this fault for the rest of your life, and then you continue on with the relationship if you decide to love it as it is, then say you guys finally move in together and now comes more faults shining through and yet again you go through the phase do I love them enough to continue on with this relationship, and it happens through the whole relationship because you're always learning about each other and as you get more comfortable with each other you notice more flaws and faults. So essentially what I am trying to say it getting past the infatuation stage so early in the relationship doesn't mean much, the three year mark is merely an adverage. I hope this helps answer your question.
