I am here for it! You’re the one who made me feel OK with relaxing my hair after being natural for 9 YEARS! I relaxed my hair bone straight! I just couldn’t do it anymore. I have 3 young boys and a husband. I work a full time job AT A DAYCARE also. Ain’t nobody got time for curls right now😂 I have been happily relaxed since February 23, 2020, and I wish I did it earlier! My hair is growing way BETTER now.

M M yea it’s not the honeymoon phase of something I know all too well. I was relaxed before since I was a kid and doing my own relaxers at 13. Mastered it. I come from a family of long HEALTHY hair and cosmetologist. I thought I would miss my curls enough to go back natural by now, but I don’t. I missed doing things with my kids and my family more. 9 years long...baby I did my time. Be blessed❤️

M M as you SHOULD know natural hair takes a lot of time. If you don’t have the discipline or the time to put into it, it doesn’t matter WHAT you do. Your hair will not be healthy. No matter if you are relaxed or natural. It’s just that I ONLY have the patience and TIME for relaxed hair. If you have a problem with that and want to go on about this all day, then we can. It makes no sense though. No one told you to reply to my comment in the first place. Just keep scrolling and be on your merry way. ChipperCan yikes natural warriors get on my nerves. I’m sorry but I have 4c hair I work full time as a teacher and I have a couple of other after school gigs and I have a baby on the way. You best believe when my kid comes I’m relaxing my hair again. I’ve learned how to take care of my relaxed hair and yes it is growing it is thick and I don’t do it every month.

Ive had setbacks, periods of poor retention, and periods of no growth. So NO 9 years does not automatically waist length. Also people get hair cuts!!! I completely feel where you come from... I went natural and I enjoyed seeing my natural curl pattern but I like the manageability that having a relaxer gives me... It has nothing to do with hating your self or your self image.... Some people just like options and don't want to spend so much time on there hair all the time. I've texlaxed my hair twice and went back to natural after it broke off both times. It was a nice length before I texlaxed it; I have to admit, I wasn't very good at carrying for it. What I hate about texlax and relaxers is that your hair is never even everywhere, one texlax may come off less texlaxed or more closer to relaxer and having that many textures over time just causes problems and having it straightened the way you do definitely helps out. Your hair looks really good!! I wish I took care of mine but for now I'll just deal with my 4c hair which I hate but that's the only way I can have it be long with my type of care.

Your hair came out really cute! I’m a stylist as well and love doing “something “ to my hair!lol I’ve always used conditioner as a filler before I relax my hair. Also to temporarily stop the “burn” I would spray oil sheen on the spot burning.(Isoplus from back in the day.lol) Being a stylist I’m like you I would do so much to my hair because I know my hair. I’ve been natural several years but I can’t lie It’s crossed my mind to relax.

I didn't think I could do natural #5 years this Winter. But I'm happy with my hair shedding crazy 🙄 was doing more wigs. But haven't wore one in month. My hair so thick didn't think could manage it. I got it down now. Good flat iron use time to trim. I will never go back
