Put towel on your neck. Put vaseline or grease on your edges and ears. Soak a t-shirt in warm water incase relaxed goes on your skin. Rub it with the t-shirt soaked in warm water. Use a neutralising shampoo if using a lye relaxer that doesn't include it in the box. Lovely video and hair😊

How long does its effect remain on the hair and is it permanent? Or that the hair will return to what it was before
@QuonnaLeshae2 жыл бұрын
It is a permanent change. You can do touch ups to the roots as they grow in every 6-8 weeks. The only way to have the natural hair back is to not do the touch ups and allow your natural hair to grow back out or to cut off all of the hair that has already been chemically altered. :)

I knew it was time for me to get a relaxer when I realized that even the curls on my 3C3B wigs didn't stay lol. Those curls would last literally for about 30 minutes after you put product on it and then they would swell up And these are wigs natural hair wigs by the way but still a wig with a looser curl pattern and I will still having problems with it The hair was still swelling up I had to comb it out it was shedding. On a wig!! So I knew it was time to just get a relaxer because you can't do much with curls I don't care what your curl pattern is it can be 3C or 4C they still have to be treated in moisturized all day everyday for it to look nice.

How do I know if my hair is healthy enough to relax ?
@QuonnaLeshae2 жыл бұрын
If you’re already experiencing breakage, I would not recommend relaxing. When your hair sheds, if it sheds in full length strands then you have healthy shedding. If when shedding, you’re getting a lot of small, short pieces that don’t typically match up to the full length of your hair, then you know you’re experiencing breakage from unhealthy strands. That would be one of the main factors I’d consider when deciding.

But you’re fine because it depends on your scalp and of course personal preference . I have sensitive scalp so really I don’t suppose to be getting perms 🤣 YOLO AND IM THINKING ABOUT CUTTING IT WHILE IM RELAXED. @@QuonnaLeshae Wow. I applaud your honesty. A lot of naturals have forgotten the work it takes to maintain healthy relaxed hair. Yes, wash days are faster but personally my relaxed hair needs more treatments/products to stay on my head. On top of the fact that my super sensitive scalp always suffers on retouch, so I usually end up with uneven results.
