HEMORRHOIDS TIP! This is one of the best pieces of advice my midwife gave me, and I've used it anytime they get bad (4 kids here). Buy a sleeve of 4x4 gauze and a bottle of witch hazel (pharmacy section). Take one square of gauze, fold in half and soak in a bowl of witch hazel. Make as many as you want and freeze them in a baggie. When you go to bed, or have to sit a lot, tuck one between your butt cheeks. They are heavenly for a sore butt, and the witch hazel shrinks them fast.

Colleen is so beautifully there's no words to describe it. she's creative, hardworking, inclusive, honest, helpful, selfless, supportive, and when someone is wrong she doesn't make fun of them for not knowing she helps inform them so they can be a better person, she somehow finds the light even in dark places, she is an AMAZING mom, wife, aunt, friend, content creator, and person all together, and she still is always trying to educate herself and grow to be a better person. she is too beautiful for this world, but I'm so incredibly grateful that she's in it.

I loved the part when Erik brought up the way we change affectations when we are talking with our homies, or friends of the same gender.. I am 62, and tend to talk to women who are younger than me, calling them sweetie.. I don't mean anything rude or derogatory about it at all, and I hope I never offend anyone when doing it... but for a man to say "sweetie" to a woman would be demeaning, in my opinion (a stranger), kind of like being talked down to in a way. Just my two cents on it.

Yeah, I think it's a matter of many historical events of men letching on me/my friends calling us "endearing terms" in that tone of voice (we all know the one!) But when I'm not threatened by the person it's okay.. not a massive fan of sweety or honey, but I can get on board on anyone being nice, in a none intimidating way.

Lolololol at Eric saying sauerkraut needs to be very fresh!!! It’s literally fermented. Basically just old cabbage in a jar with vinegar and salt. I don’t think there is any such thing as “fresh” sauerkraut 😂😂😂 also, I have a jar of sauerkraut in my fridge from basically 2 years ago and I was scared to have some, but it is definitely exactly the same as when I opened it. not to be a bummer... but i really wanted to let you two know how much i look forward to these podcasts every week.. and this week more than others. My bonus dad was in the ICU for the past 2 weeks with liver failure. While he was in the hospital they (my mother and him) had made plans to move closer to where i currently live for work (i’m their only daughter) he was still in the ICU on the day they were suppose to drive to the new home. I helped my mom obviously with the big move and my bonus dad was released a week later, unfortunately the only way the hospital would release them is if he went on hospice (which is never good) He spent one full day, enjoying their new home. But very suddenly he passed away the next day (which was yesterday) It’s been extremely difficult but Today i was trying to distract my mind for a bit and was so happy you had uploaded a podcast. You have no idea how much i enjoy your podcasts and will enjoy them forever. Thank you both so much for bringing me so much joy in these hard times. ❤️❤️
