I LOVE how adamantly Erik just argued AGAINST himself on the bathroom rugs. 😂 I have never seen a rug in a public bathroom but that’s exactly why I have them in mine. I don’t want guests walking into a bathroom in my house and thinking it looks like a public bathroom, it’s the small details that make a house comfortable and inviting. Just wash it with some bleach every week or two… it’s not that hard. LOL ❤️

Also, I remember the psychic telling you that your career will go in a more mature/adult turn. The Apple Watch saved my dad’s life a couple years ago. His heartbeat was off and it kept alerting him and he went to the hospital and they had to shock his heart twice to get it back to the correct rhythm. That’s the reason I got mine. That and tracking my sleep. And bands, you can buy so many different ones on Amazon. I agree the official ones are ugly, but you can but a different kinds and designs.

Also if you fall your watch will call emergency services if you don’t respond. One of the big reasons I wanted one as I live alone and go out for long runs and otherwise it could take hours for someone to realise if I’ve fallen somewhere and not come home!

In regards to the bathmat situation, Colleen actually convinced me to side with Erik simply because of the fact that she said that it's to absorb backsplash but also said that it's so people who are barefoot aren't on just a cold floor. The thought of putting my bare feet on a mat that's absorbed with pee isn't super appealing 😅

1) I'm with Erik--hard no on the toilet rugs! Yes, bathmats, rug in front of the sink. But no way on the ones around the toilet. They get so gross so fast. And the bath/shower/sink ones need to be very washable 2) On the schmear vs smear: the term Pap Smear comes from the old way of doing them, when the sample was smeared on a microscope slide, sprayed with a preservative, and sent to the lab. These days the sample is placed in preservative liquid in a small plastic bottle with a cap, not actually "smeared" anymore.

So I didn’t understand getting an Apple Watch until I got one, lol. It’s extremely helpful for me while I’m at work because I can’t keep my phone in my pocket, but I can look at my watch. I don’t always have my phone on me but having the watch on my wrist for working out and for when I am at work is a total game changer. ALSO! Amazon has SO many cute bands. I actually agree with both Erik and Colleen concerning the bathroom rug, I get that you definitely need one if there is a bathtub or a shower. But putting it under the toilet is kinda gross because it soaks up all the pee and toilet water, like it's just not comfortable to lput your feet on. I do however understand maybe pitting a rug i front of where the sink is, so that the floor doesn't stay wet with water splashing (but clean water !), that's way for people who think rugs completent a room and still to have one without other people being grossed out by it !

However, in most guest bathrooms the sink is directly in front of the toilet so the rug would sit between the toilet and the sink.

Two things that gross me out in any bathroom: Rugs around the toilet & toilet seat covers. Now IF you choose to have one, I hope you wash it several times a week. I don't personally like it in front of the sink but that certainly bothers me much less than around the toilet. I use one in front of the tub/shower but I buy the ones that don't have that white non slip material all over the bottom. Those aren't good in the dryer so I buy ones that have scattered grips. And the toothpaste debate: I buy flip top that are quick to close & I squeeze from the bottom only but only roll it occasionally.

You wouldn't find them in restaurants, but thats because you're never (hopefully) barefoot in a restaurant! Standing at the sink washing your hands, brushing your teeth barefoot at home its a homey/cozy necessity!

Hey Colleen! Just in case you're wondering, apple watches can show heart rate and oxygen levels (some types). People like my mother need these to check up on how healthy their body is. They also give reminders of when to stand and shows you how much exercise you have done that day. Hope that helps :)

Totally agree with Erik, it would make for such a good cartoon concept with endless possibilities for ridiculous story lines. Almost feel the medium would be a better suit for the character as people are more forgiving of unrealistic/unbelievable characters when in cartoon form.

I agree with Eric on the bathroom mat.. it’s cleaner to just have the floor without anything, because you should clean it frequently anyways and makes it easier. As for making it lived in the floor doesn’t need to have decoration you can do that with the walls ( shelves and plants etc. )

@@annieabitte4472 We squeeze from the bottom to start and then we have these things you stick on once there's a little empty space at the bottom of the tube, and you just roll a thing on the side every once in a while. Gets the maximum toothpaste out of each tube. Also, we use toothpaste with a flip lid, so you don't have to take it off all the way.

Hmmm I kinda agree with him. For me, the guest bathroom is a downstairs toilet that my family and visitors use while wearing shoes. It doesn't really make sense to me to place a mat cause it is therefore not there to keep your feet warm. So ye I love a bath mat in the bathroom for warm feet before and after a shower, but a U-shaped rug for under a toilet.... Not really a fan

Yes! I need the coziness of the mat. Our house flooded and caused our mats to get destroyed and our first purchase from the claim was new mats 😆 it just feels nice and not cold on your feet as u stand at the sink like if u splash a little water washing ur hands it’s not going to be on the floor and when u sit on the toilet it’s cozy 😆 it also ties in the room and can be decorative. They’re 10000% necessary!

The bathroom mat: I have to agree with Coleen on this, here’s why. When you have guests over day like over night, they will likely walk barefoot to the bathroom and no one wants to walk barefoot on a freezing cold floor! Also, some people have sensory issues and don’t like the feeling of touching tile/wood floor with their feet

I’m on Colleen’s side about the bath mat issue. I think their main benefit is to hide the ugly caulking around the base of the toilet that is often old/cracking/the flooring doesn’t go flush all the way around

Bath mat controversy: here’s my take. I think it depends on the size of the bathroom. My bathrooms are rather small, so when there’s a bath mat in there it just looks cramped/crowded. With a more spacious bathroom, I think it helps the aesthetic.

2 key issues regarding bath mats: only have them if you wash them REGULARLY, and only if you have a no-shoes household. If you’re not washing them AT LEAST every couple weeks they are likely holding disgusting germs, especially the toilet ones, and if people are tracking in dirt and germs from their shoes onto the mats, they get so gross so quick. I will say I have always referred to have bath mats for aesthetic and for warmth (I can’t stand cold feet) but I do try my best to be aware of any germs/dirt they may be collecting

I felt the exact same way about Apple Watches until I got one. It seems so unnecessary (and in some ways definitely is) but for me it’s been really helpful. When I check notifications on my phone, I always get distracted by other things and end up wasting so much time on my phone. I now leave my phone a lot more than I did before and don’t need to always have it right with me because I know if I need to see an important notification, I can just look at my watch. And they do make other bands!! They have some that are softer elastic and some that look more fashionable like a silver bracelet or an actual watch band. It’s worth a try at least once.

You shouldn't wear shoes in the house anyways, so yes, a carpet is needed in the home. Out at public places, you have shoes on. So you don't need it. I'm with Colleen there!

I agree with Colleen. A rug in the bathroom makes it look and feel cozier. Your home bathroom isn't dirty enough to NEED to have an empty floor for cleaning. That's for public bathrooms

I’m not allowed to pull out my phone while working on a client so It’s super nice to see important notifications without pulling out my phone. Especially because I get notified when my next client is here. Not a lot of people can relate to this but for me I rely on mine

I’m with Colleen on the bathroom rugs & mats!!! They make it seem more comfortable and lived in and not so cold and empty😂 I do agree with Eriks point however, when its in your own home I think its completely fine. Public restrooms are a total 180° from a home guest bathroom. Anyways, Love y’all so much!!

I 100% wouldn’t have anything fabric or material on the floor in a bathroom unless it was the bath Matt next to the bath. Even then the bath Matt is hung up when I’m not using - anything material can have germs growing in it!!! The floor can be really cleaned daily (sorry Colleen 😂) Ps.
