[Released] FSLTL Update Preview! AI Traffic & VATSIM Model Matching for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Update is live now! Changelog: **FSLTL Injector 1.2 now available for update via the FBW installer.** **Changes** * The IFR count set is now proportioned out across airborne aircraft and ground aircraft - based on the altitude (AGL) of your aircraft. -- user on the ground - 50% for air, 50% for on the ground -- user above 10000ft - 75% for air, 25% for on the ground -- user above 20000ft - 100% for air, 0% for on the ground -- user above 20000ft the removal of aircraft by range is also altered to encourage aircraft to be in front of you in cruise. We switch to removing everything that is behind you i.e. 90deg to 270deg of your current heading at half distance (approx. 100km) -- Static parked aircraft will still display at airports whatever your altitude * Toolbar has additional sliders that update the key configuration parameters - IFR, VFR, Statics to use, Removal Time, Injection Radius. These sliders update the settings in real-time and also persist the new values to the config. * Split 'no blank livery' and 'no generics' into 2 options - so you can configure blanks off and generics off independently * Reworked the ordering of model matching - 100% FSLTL real livery first, followed by any other groups real livery, followed by any blank or generic model (depending on your no generic / no blank setting). Within each of those levels it will randomly pick a livery that works if there is more than one available which is quite often the case for AIG and sometimes for FSLTL. * Change the flight number allocation to use the ICAO callsign - so that we get the alpha numeric flight number used by ATC rather than the passenger all number flight number * Additional config file only option that puts a max limit per airport on statics to show e.g. "staticaircraftlimitmax":20 - this will limit each airport to at most 20 static aircraft * Delete aircraft that go out the configured radius range in FR24 when using FSHud ATC * Default limits for new users reduced based to reflect improved utilization **Bug fixes** * Catch broken cfg json file that hangs the injector and prompt user to fix / delete and restart * Fixed bug that would be causing repeated static aircraft reinsert at some airports. * Fix bug that may have given incorrect flight nunber if airline used numeric value in IATA e.g. UPS, Frontier * Fix bug with VFR removals * Fix bug that meant the timed removal of aircraft based on your 'Blocked Aircraft Removal Time' was ineffective * Minor other tweaks and improvements -- Documentation updated at www.fslivetrafficliveries.com/user-guide/ -- -- We thank the community for testing and providing feedback - feedback hero this cycle was -- **Existing users - review your IFR settings - with these changes they can typically be reduced 50 or 60 is now a good starting point** @everyone - enjoy the update 🙂

I must admit that I still like keeping the AIG models/liveries installed to act as back-up for the ones that FSLTL doesn't currently have a match for. This seems more important at smaller regional airports with less common regional airlines.

Just love this add-on, brings airport's to life. Watching take offs and landings, ties in with what I see on FR24 .... amazing! But.... since the update, no take offs, no taxiing, no landings, still plenty of liveried aircraft at gates. Can't figure out what's wrong or changed :-(

fltl ate my performance. but interestingly enough even when im not running the injector, i get real models and correct liveries now with default traffic. and the performance is fine, its seemingly the injector thats eating up RAM for me.

The injector is using a lot of RAM or is it the sim after having the traffic injected? More objects = more processing power needed! The default traffic doesn't inject nearly as many objects as the injector (no parked traffic) can hence why you see the difference.

I've tried most of the traffic addons (AIG Traffic and several others). There is no doubt in my mind that FSLTL is a huge step above anything else out there. In particular, it's dramatically reduced the amount of go-arounds that I've been experiencing. Dramatically improved the enjoyment of my experience when using the sim. And this update is only going to make it that much better. Very grateful to those who put so much into FSLTL.

Sorry but I think the amount of go arounds that can happen alot yeah it can definitely be annoying but it has nothing do with FSLTL or most of the other traffic mods as those usually controlled by MSFS AI so the addon isn't responsible for aircafts behaviour and shouldn't make a lot of deffrence in that sense.

The Fsltl has absolutely changed my immersion experience since it's launch.😃❤ I Love to here from you on the update and development of this fantastic mod. I only have one issue however, my FPS tanks like crazy, sometimes it just freezes for a sec or two especially during landing. It totally breaks the experience of practicing good landing. Almost every landing is a hard one because the sim just locks up. Is there a way so that the injector starts injecting the aircrafts a little earlier so that at least there are no sudden shocks to cpu/gpu on Final approach. This might just smooth out the arrival experience IMO. Thanks 😊 My Rig i 7 8700k OC ,RTX 3080 ,64gb 3200mhz RAM. Injector settings Static Acrfts 2, IFR 35,VFR 0.

@@BobbyFuzzy Yes even when I have injector settings to a minimum ,The sim stutters for a while during the spawning of traffic. After that everything is buttery smooth as usual. Takeoffs are smooth as well. The issue is only at the arrival airport, when I am around 1000 feet on Final app, it gets laggy.

We are just inserting the aircraft into the sim and managing the numbers around them in terms of the radius and limits, everything else is handled by the sim in terms of rendering and position so not really a task that's going to constantly require multi threading.

KATL, I’m seeing 3 planes landing at the same time on one runway lol. Planes rotating in the middle of runway. Saw an American Airline zip across all runways at high speed on the ground 😂😂. Planes flying at extremely alarming low altitude. I’ve counted about 10 planes go around within a minute. FSLTL has a lot of work to do.

It is amazing, I have removed Aerosoft Simple Traffic. The only thing I am missing is military traffic at military airfields in the UK. I would also love to see military aircraft low level in the low flying areas, Mach loop etc. I am sure I saw somebody create the files for military aircraft but it needed AIG. Regardless this is a wish list and I am blown away by how good FSLTL is. Thank you to everybody that has brought this to MSFS.

Well, military traffic is shown on FR24 so I don't think this is totally out of the question! Problem is with a lot of mil traffic especially fighters doing low level runs, they don't have a destination on FR24 - so we don't know where to send them! Perhaps Asobo can give us more flexibility in how we insert traffic and the ATC system and this might be a go!

@@BobbyFuzzy I have a distant memory of creating AFCAD files for flights I think it was in FS20004. I created or more likely edited Mil Air Transport flights from EGDL and EGVN. I can’t remember the program we used, possibly FSTraffic by Just Flight. I was reminded of it because the edit function in GSX had a similar feel.

Looking forward to the slider menu. Currently I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm loving the parked aircraft injection at the airports, but I'm getting almost no moving ground traffic, and no landings or taking off even at a busy airport like O'Hare or Heathrow.

Monitor your injector console to see what's happening. It will list out all your IFR traffic and it's phase of flight. There's not much you can really do wrong!

Good Video with good information. Don't know if you mentioned it in another video. The silent Option in the json-Config-File is nice. I you set it to "yes" you get rid of the questions and FSLTL starts right up. Nice with the new options in the toolbar. I had to place the silent-Option to the begin of the json file to work.

I love this addon however I've experienced nothing but terrible performance when using it especially higher settings almost like theres a memory leak or something as the performance just degrades over time in flight. When not using it performance is bsck to normal hope performance related fixes will come.

Higher settings = worse performance! Same as cranking your GFX settings to max you can expect the same performance as on low settings 😊

Hi, I have an emnormous problem with my msfs. There are huge lags appearing while being on the ground (Taxi+Takeoff) and also while landing. It is almost imposible to land the aircraft with the game lagging so much. It usualy does when I’m flying with PMDG 737 or FENIX A320. I think I don’t have an weak computer. I would be grateful for any advice. My computer specs are Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3,60GHz | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2700 Super | 32 GB RAM | 3840x2160, 30Hz Thank you❤

Try turning down render resolution or use DLSS, your GPU is not that great for that resolution and those high fidelity aircraft unfortunately !
