It appears that a KZbin short video must have been saved over and replaced the original video. The "help" part of the video is supposed to say to use pressure to release those tight areas around the hip. Work into the hip flexors with something like our Mark (Hip Hook), the glute area with a ball, and on the outside of the hip with a smaller ball. Using pressure can help relax these muscles in a way that supports other stretching and strengthening exercises that you may already be doing to improve this issue. Does this help?

The area where the ischial is pops feels like a band pulled back so tight that needs release. I developed severeeeeee groin and hip bursitis from it huge lump on groin and hip. I’ve been to so many drs in 22 yrs searching for a cure I lost count it crippled me. How do they expect ppl to survive like this if it wasn’t for my mom me and my daughter would have been homeless long ago. And now my parents died tragically 4 months ago and I’m begging drs to relieve the pain so I can work. If I don’t work soon I don’t know how I’ll keep a roof over us or food on the table. How can this be in a supposed first world country like america leaving ppl like this. And on top of that drs treat you like crap basically call you a liar cause the MRI’s and CT’s don’t tell them what’s wrong. I believe I have snapping hamstring which from my research is rare and only a few case reports. Pls if there are any drs in here who are truly into saving lives pls help me and my daughter. 🙏🏼🌻

We're sorry to hear that you've been through so much without finding a solution. Have you ever had the tension in your psoas and iliacus muscles assessed and released? These areas are commonly tight and cause lots of tightness and imbalance throughout the entire lower back, pelvis, and hip region and often contributes to many kinds of pain, such as bursitis, hamstring issues, sciatica, SI joint pain, and more. If you've never had the hip flexors treated, this could be a big missing piece of the puzzle that might help you make improvements with your body alignment and how you are feeling.

Mem, is any topical gel or any oil for this brusitis? I am from India ,I will greatfull to you forever
@AlethaHealth
@AlethaHealth Жыл бұрын
Sure, there may be some topical gels or creams that you can try for some relief. However, understand that this likely isn't addressing the root cause of the issue and won't provide long-term improvement. We often find that there is a muscular component that is affecting the motion of the hip, where the tight muscles are irritating the bursa. By addressing this tension with muscle release and the proper stretching and strengthening exercises, you may be more likely to experience those longer-term improvements. It's best to be assessed by a physical therapist or other practitioner first to help identify the true cause of the problem.

But how do you help release tension on the hip?
@AlethaHealth

By applying pressure directly to the tight muscle, whether that be using a tool like our Hip Hook (now called the Mark) or seeing a practitioner who will perform a manual release. Learn more about the Mark at www.alethahealth.com/mark

@@AlethaHealth if the pain is in the back are you saying to apply somewhere there? Or where is the ‘tight Muscle’ - thanks
@AlethaHealth
@AlethaHealth Жыл бұрын
You can apply the pressure where you are feeling the tightness. This can be on the front, back, or sides of the hip. To clarify the link we sent before, the Mark is used specifically on the front of the hip for the psoas and iliacus. Our Orbit ball or a lacrosse ball could be used on the back side of the hip.

@@AlethaHealth thanks. The reason I asked is that I thought you stated in the video that the muscle in the front of the hip could be the reason for the pain in the back…so I was confused as to where to apply the pressure either on the front where the muscle is or the back where the pain is.
@AlethaHealth
@AlethaHealth Жыл бұрын
Sorry, we misunderstood your question before. What you heard in the video is correct. Tension in the front can cause tension in the back. The opposing muscles like to play tug of war with each other. The purpose of the video is to bring attention to that possibility. If your pain is in the back, many people focus on this symptom and would only apply pressure to the back. Doing this may give some short-term relief, but it may tighten back up because of the tension in the front. If this happens, then you'd want to make sure you release the front. In a perfect world, you'd release both the front and back.

Would there be enough pressure just sitting rather than lying down and having a lacrosse ball applied to the area of pain? It’s so severe in my case that I literally can’t sit down for longer than 30 minutes and I just started an office job. Please help 🙌🏽
@AlethaHealth

You can try any position that helps you apply pressure to the targeted area that allows you to modify the intensity to your needs. That could be sitting over a ball, lying on a ball, or even leaning into a ball from a standing position.

Pressure applied directly to the tight muscles. Find a tight spot and hold that pressure (without rubbing) for 90+ seconds and take deep breaths to help to muscles relax.

@@boundariessetinstone5893 a massage gun does not apply consistent enough pressure to truly "release" a tight muscle. You need something that will maintain constant pressure for at least 90 seconds to get the releasing effect to help start improving this tightness.

sometimes upon ejaculation only right side deep hip socket spasms 🤔 and if i try and stand up straight it makes it worse. quadratus femoris or obturator spasm after pelvic floor contractions from ejaculation?
@AlethaHealth
@AlethaHealth 7 ай бұрын
Have you ever been assessed by a physical therapist or pelvic floor PT for this? That would be the best place to start. There could be some tension in those deeper hip rotator muscles that you mentioned. There could be tension in the iliacus and even into the other muscles of the pelvic floor.

I forgot to stretch before my run. I literally was on the floor and could not walk after it. I cried because it hurt really bad. But I was wondering if it could be from forgetting to stretch, is this possible? Also, is it bad to weight lift with hip bursitis?
@AlethaHealth
@AlethaHealth 10 ай бұрын
Stretching can help warm up the muscles and prepare them for exercise. If you skipped your warmup, then its possible your body wasn't prepared enough to go for that run. If you think you sustained an injury, it's best to check with a practitioner. A practitioner could also give you more direct feedback on which stretches or exercises are appropriate for you to help improve hip bursitis.

So this pain could be caused by my labral tears?
@AlethaHealth
@AlethaHealth Жыл бұрын
Hip bursitis and labral tears develop because of poor movement occurring within the hip joint, where it creates wear on the surrounding structures (like the bursae or the labrum). Poor movement coming from the hip joint can be impacted by tension in the muscles controlling the hip. The iliacus and psoas muscles (your hip flexors) are typically primary contributors.

@AlethaHealth
@AlethaHealth 5 ай бұрын
It appears that an IG reel or YT short video has replaced the original video. Sorry about that. The way we'd start to reduce hip bursitis pain is by first releasing the tension in the muscles around the hip (hip flexors, TFL, glutes, other deep hip rotators) that may be pulling on and irritating the bursa. This could be followed the stretches and strengthening exercises around the hips, glutes, and core.

Why is the front of the hip get tight?
@AlethaHealth
@AlethaHealth Жыл бұрын
The primary cause is from way too much time spent sitting, which teaches the brain to keep the muscles on the front side of the hip in this shortened position.

Is there a way to lengthen the tight muscles
@AlethaHealth
@AlethaHealth Жыл бұрын
@@UnleashedPunks applying direct pressure to a tense muscle is the best way to get it to truly lengthen. This is because some of the fibers are remaining contracted (think of like a muscle "knot"), which shortens the muscles. Stretching will NOT get the "knot" to release/relax. It will simply allow the muscle to stretch into a larger range of motion. Pressure to that area is the only way to create the neurological response within the brain to let the contraction go to relase/soften the muscle, helping to lengthen the muscle.

Now that's sad, psoas is so deep unlike the glutes.
@AlethaHealth

@@UnleashedPunks you can access certain portions of the psoas as it travels through the core region and becomes closer to the surface of the body. This area is within the ASIS of the pelvic bone (and even a little higher and lower), as shown in this How To video on our website. www.alethahealth.com/howto/hip-hook
