I have reloaded the boxer primed 9mm and 45acp with decent results. I typically get 5 or 6 reloads from either cal before the case mouth splits or primers are so loose you can tap them out. I'm actually in the process of reloading the 357mag cases that are small pistol berdan primed. i take a small rifle primer and remove the anvil then seat them normally. the first loading was a near max load with a 158gr bullet. 7 of 22 cases have splits and will be tossed. going to do the same load again and see how many split. As you said, not recommended but doing it for shits and giggles.

Good video, thanks. These probably would be good candidates for Trail Boss powder with those enlarged flash holes, too. You make some interesting, more unusual videos.....thanks!

Thanks, man! Trail Boss would probably work excellent in this case!

I reload those Aluminum cases, but I only use them in my break-open single shot carbine because it has full case head support. I would never use them in one of my expensive pistols. With my budget, all pistols are expensive, so I don't risk it with them.

As stated, "don't recommend it". Reloading aluminium cases has been studied quite a bit. Sum total of those experiments can be summed up easily. "Don't". Having said that, the experiments I'm aware of were able to reload aluminum cases ONE TIME safely with MILD loads. Anything approaching anywhere close to maximum loads resulted in case failure, along with multiple reloading even with mild loads, and case failures are always bad for the gun and sometimes bad for the shooter as well. It is actually a good idea to use aluminum cases for primer only wax and rubber bullet cases. They aren't being subjected to firing pressures and current primer only practice cases are made of plastic, so the aluminum cases would serve well in this application. But reloading them? Bad idea.
