Jason was the best at making Sonic seem like a serious character while being able to crack jokes from time to time. Roger isn’t “bad” but his version of Sonic seems way more immature than he needs to be.

Every boss after the first one feels like a difficulty spike. ( with the pirate boss being easier than the ifrit, I’m using the order you fight them ingame, not the order of each level. )

The game's level progression isn't at all linear. The Ifrit boss fight can only be unlocked if you beat the Pirate boss.

I think so. In my opinion, Mephiles is the best Sonic villain, because he's the only one that actually managed to kill Sonic. Erazor would come next, because he also would have managed to kill Sonic. Shahra just chose to die in his place. Infinite loses to Erazor because he never finishes anybody off. Infinite is probably a better character than Erazor, but not a better villain.

After had seen the Infinite trailer, I thought that he would be one of the most threatening villain in the series. He is with words and appearance, but I find his actions way to weak. He didn’t get the proper story he truly needs to make him a more understandable villain, instead he cried by losing. That sounds like something a rival would say, not a villain.

For Crest of Wind, you need Silver Medals on 110 missions. Fire Lock-On requires a Gold Medal in Evil Foundry Mission 5. But, I get the feeling you might actually be wanting to know about Slowed Search. It's what enables you to lock on to things other than fire souls during a time break. Slowed Search is unlocked with 45 silver medals. Sub S. Search unlocks at level 44.

@@Tubechanneloffical I know it's been 3 years, but I can tell you. It allows you to lock on to Fire Souls, even during a Timebreak. Slowed search allows you to lock on to any regular entity that you can lock on to normally during a Timebreak, basically an upgrade to Fire Lock On.

Yes. Basically, you need to get at least a silver medal ranking in every single mission in the game. If I remember correctly, you need 100 different silver medals to unlock the Crest of Dark, 105 medals to unlock the Crest of Fire, and 110 medals to unlock Crest of Wind.

If this game wasn’t plagued by motion controls and on rails gameplay. This would of been a great sonic game. And I’m not saying motion controls ruin games. But the way they were used here definitely did it.

I actually thought the motion controls in this game were pretty good. Simple, which is a good thing in my eyes. The only time I found them annoying is when I would try to back up. I've always found Black Knight's controls to be far more irritating than Secret Rings. It's also worth remembering that this was one of the Wii's early releases, so it's likely that most of the games released during that time would have wanted to take advantage of the Wii's new gimmick. Being on rails definitely makes sense if you want to make a Sonic game that uses motion controls. Since being a motion controlled on-rails experience is the whole game's concept, what would be left if you took those things away? Guess we'd still have some pretty great music, and a much better story than anything post Black Knight. Interesting level themes too. Secret Rings isn't for everyone, but I personally have a ton of fun with it.
