You fail to mention that Rip Torn was cast as the lawyer in Easy Rider. After he dropped out at the last minute, Peter Fonda prevailed upon Nicholsm to reluctantly take the role. And NOBODY. even Nicholson, smokes "100 joints." That is just plain impossible.
