Chuck wouldn’t have spent so much time with Bruce if Bruce wasn’t the real deal Bruce is also the reason that Chuck went into movies. Before meeting Bruce, chuck had no desire to do films, not even stunt work or fight training. He just wanted to open karate dojos and compete Then Bruce asked Chuck to be in one of his movies and after some convincing, Chuck agreed. The experience convinced Chuck that this was a worthwhile career and he liked doing it. Plus, what better way to advertise your expertise than being in hit movies. The films are what propelled Chuck to open up a chain of dojos all over the country

Who's here after John Saxon died?
@ianjohnson776111 ай бұрын
Well, Robert Wall also passed away recently and basically the same time as John Saxon. Rob’s this guy: “Boards don’t hit back” and the leader of the Dirty Dozen group who called out Steven Seagal back in the 90’s. Another guy who passed away recently is Gene LeBell. LeBell was a mentor and friend to all of these people: Wall, Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and Ronda Rousey. Gene LeBell actually has his own Steven Seagal story (which he, himself didn’t reveal too explicitly). You all most likely know da 1. Robert Wall actually tried to get Gene to join his Dirty Dozen. LeBell ended up declining because apparently the guys in the group (consisting of some dudes that include Benny “The Jet” Urquidez & Bill “Superfoot” Wallace) were overpushing the grappling legend’s interest and the feud with Seagal was hurting him professionally. Despite all this, LeBell did leave the door open to a brawl with Seagal should the guy get the guts to actually go through with it. That obviously didn’t happen though, and neither did Bob Wall’s Dirty Dozen vs. Steven Seagal. Guess why. With that story being told there was a African American martial artist in Enter the Dragon named Jim Kelly, who played a guy who looks like Jimi Hendrix: He also passed away kind of recently (I think it was back in da 2010’s?). Now, if there’s 1 guy in Enter the Dragon that I’m sure hasn’t passed away yet: Bolo Yeung (born Yang Sze). Yang Sze actually got his stage name Bolo Yeung from his villainous character Bolo in Enter the Dragon. Bolo’s the guy who broke a few of Han’s minions’s spines for their incompetence. Coincidentally, as this talk is about John Saxon, well John Saxon’s character Roper from Enter the Dragon is actually the guy who ends up defeating Bolo. Except in the case of who’s still alive in the real world, as far as I last saw reported, Bolo Yeung is actually still alive himself. Oh, and for those of us who watched Bloodsport, you might remember him as the Korean antagonist Chong-Li. Bolo was also good buddies with Jean-Claude van Damme, who liked him so much he insisted Bolo play the role as a villain in a future movie of van Damme’s called Double Impact. This brings another Steven Seagal story. The feud between JCVD and Seagal is legendary. JCVD just points out the obvious flaws that his apparent rival has when agreeing to answer questions about him in interviews. Seagal on the other hand with an ego that makes him barely less delusional than “boxer” in quotations Charlie Zelenoff, hates JCVD so much that he denies the guy’s accomplishments in the competitive fighting world among other ways he most likely insulted him. There’s also a story that took place during the 90’s at a house Sylvester Stallone owned in Miami. This occurred during a party that not only included Stallone, JCVD and Seagal: But also Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Don Johnson (that’s my dad’s name by the way, minus the middle name), basketball great Shaquille O’Neal and from what I’ve heard even pop singer Madonna was among them as well (though, her music isn’t something I would have my ears prioritize). Now, the story goes that Steven Seagal was trash-talking not only JCVD, but possibly a few other folks as well. The Muscles from Brussels was at the time doing some hard drugs and had enough his Seagal bull that he went up and challenged the phony Steven to a brawl in Stallone’s backyard. Seagal not only fleed once, but twice when the now berserk Van Damme tracked the Aikido “master” to a nightclub. This shows you the type of dude Seagal is. He can’t even bring himself to make fight scenes interesting, and he only died in 1 movie. Anyway, there’s an encyclopedic statement about people who took part in Enter the Dragon, the only person from that movie who I know 4 certain is still alive and beyond.

@@Hakspheenom I don't believe that your comments are accurate. My father was quite modest, very little ego and tremendous intellectual curiosity. He always respected Bruce a great deal and don't believe ever felt unhappy "playing second fiddle to Lee: Actually, the quite the opposite, My father ( I was only 2 years old while filming in Hong Kong) always expressed that he knew his part in the film and complemented Bruce well. I believe that was one of the reasons that he and Bruce were close, a relationship developed over a short period of time, always of mutual respect. Finally, at the time of the 40th Anniversary showing of Enter the Dragon at the Academy (April 2013) My father had lost capacity (Diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimer's in late +/- 2009/early 2010), so at this event, I know he was (as was I in particular) Very Worried he would Not Be Able to do even a short question and answer. Also, ofcourse attitudes were somewhat different back then. Whether it was an assumption or something they witnessed then interpreted, who knows. Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Floyd Patterson, etc were the best martial artists and they were all real fighters that took real punishment too. @TheSaint-g7t2 жыл бұрын
@@Sazerrider Yes indeed they are all lying, they lied to enhance their acting careers, those Karate guys that you mentioned were mostly points fighters with practically no full contact, they can't take full hits. Jackie Chan is an actor with zero real fight wins, all his fights are staged and well rehearsed shot so many times and edited. I am surprised that you you didn't know that Bruce Lee copied The Greatest Muhammad Ali, just look at Bruce Lee's footwork, Linda Lee said Bruce Lee idolised Muhammad Ali because he was a real professional fighter and Boxing is a real live fight Mrs Lee said this out of her own mouth. I am surprised that you didn't know that Boxing is one of the oldest Martial Arts. JKD is only a book on philosophy fighting, Bruce Lee created this to make a living, since he could not get much work as a Chinese actor in Hollywood. Sugar Ray Robinson, killed a man in the ring with one left hook punch to the head, this fight was recorded and it is real evidence. None of those fake fighters that you mentioned have any injuries, because their stage fighting is non contact or in some cases they use stunt doubles, Bruce Lee used stunt double in the fictional film Enter the Dragon.

Bruce was very secretive about his abilities and martial arts. He didn’t like to show people what he did. This is why he would tell his students to go one direction and he went another. It’s just the way he was. He wanted the edge. He also didn’t like teaching and what changing the curriculum every month. This is why out of his 3 schools, Seattle, Oakland and Chinatown L.A, the curriculum is completely different. In Hong Kong his challenges were in the paper all the time back in the 70’s. It’s well known in Hong Kong media. Him not competing has nothing to do with “keeping his rep”. If you want to know about his fight history get John Little’s know book: Wrath of the Dragon: The real fights of Bruce Lee. It is very, very informative and will hopefully put a stop to lot of misinformation and lies spread about Bruce over the years.

Sadly the human body gets old. But during your 70 odd years do something good. The late great Bruce Lee certainly done great stuff with his life.

So Bruce Lee past away the same year "Enter the Dragon" was made in 1973. The official version is that Bruce Lee past away after taking a painkiller for his painful back problem; I find this hard to believe!

Yeah of course bruce lee still alive
@jerry1714607 жыл бұрын
At one point, I wished he was still alive, but it is better for him to rest in peace. It is because his death preserves his image in terms of his prowess in martial arts. As of today, people would compare and analyze his kung fu; so it is better to be unproven than being exposed. We will never find out the truth in terms of his fighting skills, but that's ok.

There is no such thing as reincarnation. But his work will always live on and his contributions to the East and the West as well as to action/martial arts films will live on too.
