Now that's a Christmas Story worth telling every year. Part of the decorations would be falling out of the van theme. Santa's sleigh, Rudolph a van with the door opening and you falling out. Miles of material. Glad you're OK but this is hilarious. Thank you for sharing.

Christmas 1987, I remember that one so well. I was ten years old, and it was the last time that my parents played Santa for me and my older siblings. Well, for a few years for me, anyway, until my little brother was born a few years later and they'd play Santa for the both of us. Anyway, I remember looking at Christmas lights with my aunt, older brother and sister, a friend of my aunt's and her friend's kids a few days before Christmas. This was my last year of believing in Santa. I remember that "Santa" brought me everything I asked for that year. A talking ALF doll, toys from the Real Ghostbusters, a football, a Popples football and soccer ball, and a chemistry set. I also remember the Christmas Eve party one of my other aunts threw in the neighborhood and we joined with some family and friends. And Christmas dinner at Grandma's the next day. It truly was a nice Christmas and one to remember.

I wasn't born until the following year, but my brother and I grew up watching a Muppet Family Christmas each year from the time we were young (along with Christmas Eve on Sesame Street from 1978). And up until last year (when Journey to Bethlehem was released) I would have said Christmas Comes To Willow Creek was my fav Christmas movie (and I love many of them) and it has always felt like so few people have even heard of it. So I was glad to see it shown here.

Another banger episode! ‘87 was definitely a great Christmas. I got the Captain Power ship and my brother got the bad guy ship. Lots of fun having dogfights and seeing the little guy pop out of the canopy when one of the ships took too many hits! We hung onto those for years. That ALF episode was just so damn heavy… The Cheers episode with the old couple blows me away because those two would go on to be in Ernest Saves Christmas together. So wild! The other episode lives in my head forever. They start off making fun of “It’s A Wonderful Life,” and then end up crying their eyes out at the end. Gets me every time. 😢

Thanks. We had Captain Power as well. I wish I still had it. I would love to find one and the VHS tape. The ALF episode is so depressing. I hadn't seen it in years and forgot how depressing it was. I had more of the Cheers footage with It's a Wonderful Life but KZbin copyright Gods said NO! lol

🎄Christmas🎄is the best time of year. One more memory of my childhood Christmases was actually in books or catalogs. The JC Penny's Christmas Catalog and the Sears Wish Book. Those two catalogs would bring so much joy to a kid. Paging through every single page, front to back, picking the best toys you hope to get for Christmas. I can remember Mom taking me to Southridge Mall and I had only two destinations, JC Penny's and Sears, well maybe Kay"🅱️"Toys too. LOL. The 80's still had the catalogs, but I was a teenager(13) by 1980. I did still like to see the Video game sections. I used to love to shop for my Mom and Dad, and especially my Grandparents. Those were some really wonderful times. In 1982 my Grandpa, who helped raise me, had a massive heart attack and passed away on November 13th, 1982. That was a rollercoaster year for me. The Brewers had won their Division, then they won the American League title and were headed to the World Series! I was beyond excited! Then they lost to the St.Louis Cardinals 4 games to 3. And a few weeks later my Grandpa passed away. That was a tough year and probably why I see the 70's Christmas as a "better" time for me. But Christmas was special for us. As a little kid it's more "eventful", more exciting, and more special. Then in the mid 90's my Mom passed away on December 5th. And a 2½ years later on the 4th of July my Dad lost his battle with Cancer. The Holidays for me after 1982 started to slowly lose a little joy. Again it's why I see the 70's as being so much more special and wonderful for me. It was the last decade where I had my entire family together. That said, I really do love these videos, no matter what the year it is. There are some good memories from most every year, and these videos bring those memories back. Thank you.
