The one last thing I will say about Tom Brady and why he is the GOAT. His peers both teammates and rivals all say he is. Someone brought up eye test and one of the things that gets glossed over which should not is his performance in the Orange Bowl before he was drafted. That was one of the greatest performances at the Quarterback position at any level that gets lost in the shuffle of great Tom Brady moments. Go back and watch that game down 14 twice in the same game to come back and win. Watch that game and you ask yourself how in the hell was he not a first round pick. I promise you.

You forget that fact: The NFL conducted a 100-day trial by false PR (lies about the actual PSIs, Brady’s phone), then issued a prejudicial and nonsensical Wells Report that was quickly debunked by multiple scientists and analysts. The NFL said it would collect PSI data afterward, but it never released any of the data, obviously because it wouldn’t suit their narrative. The League had to admit at the federal trial court that it had zero evidence that Brady took part in a deflation scheme. The appeals court ruled for the NFL not on the facts but on labor law; the appeals court ruled that the collective bargaining agreement let the NFL do whatever it wanted in disciplinary matters.

In his 20 years starting Brady Quarterbacked one offense outside of the top 10 in scoring. They were 12th in 2003. This idea that Brady was some bum in his early career is stupid and not true. In 2000 the Patriots were 25th in offensive scoring and in 2001 under Brady they were 6th. The new england patriots set the NFL record for most consecutive seasons with 400+ points at 14 straight seasons. A record snapped when Cam Newton took over. Every team has some luck, not just Tom. Eli doesn’t win his 2 without Helmet Catch and Manningham’s sideline catch plus his tremendous efforts from his defense. Mahomes doesn’t win his SB without Jimmy G overthrowing a wide open E Sanders for a TD. Peyton doesn’t win his 2 without his running game and defense especially vs Carolina.
