Thanks Alan! I could listen to this all day long! The subtle play between the finite mind (myself) and infinite consciousness is felt so strongly as I listen, yet it could not be articulated so eloquently as Rupert does.

So our aim as we live in this world of duality is to be lucidly awake.

The belief in the matter model of reality makes us blinkered and self serving. The consciousness model opens us up to the consideration of others and the whole. In that mode we are lucidly awake, so yes, you are bang on 🙏

Towards the end of the video, Rupert says, "The things that these thoughts refer to don't actually exist in the way we think of them, in fact we don't think about objects because they exist, they seem to exist because we think about them." I don't understand it. Please someone explain clearly what it means. Alan, could you please explain? Thank you so much in advance, everyone!
@alanneachell9092 Жыл бұрын
We usually think of things as being dense, inner matter outside of ourselves but if we leave all our learned concepts to one side for a moment, can you see that all we experience is experience? Obviously experience is not made of anything other than the knowing of it. Find me on Facebook and send a private message if you would like to discuss further 🙏❣️

Why does Mary localize herself as Jane at all? What is the cause?
@alanneachell9092 Жыл бұрын
It's the nature of awareness to be creative. Of course what I've just said is total nonsense because Awareness never localises itself. This is the problem with spiritual teachings. Explanatory models are made to aid understanding but are usually believed to be a fact. 🙏❣️

Mary falls asleep and dreams that she is Jane? I am 54 years old and in 54 years, every dream I have ever had I would say Jeremy falls asleep and dreams that he is Jeremy on the streets of Paris, or Jeremy on the Caribbean Island...... I have never dreamed that I am anyone else other than Jeremy. As much as I love Rupert, this doesn't work for me (although I understand what he is ultimately pointing at).
