I just bought one, today. (: $50 in kinda beat up condition, but everything works well enough to say it can be fixed. It came with the case/cover and the original brush and spool pieces, though, so I cannot complain! Now to find a shop that can clean it up nice, lol ​@nateholden7598

Had an eye on this model. Does the raised carriage block the line of sight? And do the keys feel very heavy?

I have a 1929 Model 2 and maybe i can help answer your questions. No the raised carriage do not block any line of site. It is actually a nice angle to look at. The keys a snappy but you do have to press firmly, not unusual for these 1920s Remingtons. I recommend these old Remingtons, they are very stylish and easy to use typewriters.

Do you know what size ribbon this takes?

The spools are 1 5/8" with a 1/2" ribbon. Keep your old spools!
